The place is lovely and great. Its more of a place to visit in summer or during warmer conditions though, because there is next to nothing to do if you're there during winter, especially if you're there with kids. Granted it was a nice breather from the buzz of Jozi, but thats literally all it has to offer. The staff and service as well as facilities are amazing, everything else is appreciated. Just short of alternative entertainment during winter time and the colder seasons.

La Bastide Jasmine is such a lovely room with scenic views. However, the following was an issue. The hot water tap in the shower was more Luke warm, and the next morning we had no hot water. No tea in the room, only coffee sachets. The room is big enough for a queen size bed, the double bed is a bit small. I won't book this room again, if I know there are people staying right above you. You can hear every part of the conversation, dropping things on the floor and every toilet flush. The bathroom barn door in Jasmine rattles when the people above walk up and down. They did not care that there were people below. Please work on sound proofing Jasmine's roof.

I used B'sorah to host a scout camp for about 15 scouts, and I was very satisfied with the venue. To me, the biggest plus was that we had direct access to the hiking trail system. There was a brilliant swimming spot a 25 minute brisk walk upriver, with in a very healthy river with fish, we also spotted a leguvaun. At the swimming spot there was a spot to do rock jumping up to 5 meters, and the water was more than deep enough. The campsite was clean and shaded, and we didn't share it with anyone else. The hiking path does run very close to the campsite, so the privacy can be somewhat limited. There were 4 showers, connected to a donkey that was quite fun to make and use. There was also one toilet, everything very clean.

There aren’t enough stars to rate Ukutula , from checking in to checking out is faultless, the Staff are incredible and that is all due to the exceptional training they’ve had, Willi who owns Ukutula has standards. The Staff choose who you speak too treat everyone like part of this unique family. No praise can be enough for them. The accommodation at Ukutula are just like the Staff perfect, beautifully decorated individual thatched lodges, with an outside sitting area complete with a fire pit, camp chairs to sit around the fire pit plus a table and chairs on the veranda area. The bedroom’s are beautiful a lovely sitting area with a comfy sofa, a dining table, tv, ours had kitchenette superbly equipped which we didn’t use except the fridge. The restaurant serves beautifully presented meals and breakfast is a magnificent feast. The gardens with 2 pools are gorgeous with so many animal figures representative of the wildlife. We had joined our friends there, it was the final destination on our month long trip it was a reunion and our friend said it would be special, special doesn’t come close for Dreams coming True, we’ve been privileged of visiting several countries in Africa to see wildlife in a natural habitat, to play with Lion Cubs, to be licked by Fiji the Cheetah was something I never thought I’d do, but I have never dreamed that I would hold a 4 week old Lion Cub, that is a memory to cherish forever. Not only does Ukutula make dreams come true, the conservation that they do is a vital to the wildlife world, their laboratory is fascinating and great education on what they are doing to preserve wildlife.
