Because this is a 5-star venue, I arrived with high expectations for our training session. 27 Delegates had no hot water for tea/coffee because there was no electricity. We started the conference late due to this power failure too. The general manager refused to apologise and blamed it on Eskom & cable theft. Management was extremely condescending and arrogant. On day-2, 11 x Delegates complained to me about the small "bite size" Spinach Rolls tasting like paint / rancid butter. I took a photo of three spinach rolls that had one bite out of them (see attached), and then put back on the plate because they were inedible. The owner of the property (Chris Goosen) and the GM (Chris) refused to accept this feedback from 11 of my Delegates and said the "facts are they were fine". The owner Chris Goosen (15h00, 16 Aug 2024) stuck his finger in my face and said "If you put anything on social media, I will come after you." This was said in front of five of my Delegates! One delegate seeing and overhearing this came over and said he was one of the delegates who could not eat the roll because it tasted like paint. Management did not even offer to refund my client for the inedible food. Very unfair & unreasonable treatment by senior management.

Great gem around Boksburg . Fabulous rooms , clean linen .Their food is fantastic, they have a variety of meats on their menu.Too notch customer service ..from the moment I came in , I was treated like royalty . Excellent art work ..I'm definitely coming back

Beautiful accommodation, loved the decor. I had an incident with the quality of the food the first night I stayed over. However, after informing management, they rectified the matter. The rest of my stay was pleasant. Breakfast - different each day I stayed, nice variety to choose from. Service from staff was great, especially a big THANK YOU to Alice.

A good stay for a night or two before our international flights. The beds are large & comfy in a good size room & separate bathroom.

We had a lovely experience, quiet cozy environment. Supper friendly staff. They have high selection of steak grilled to perfection -top notch The place is well maintained that we enjoyed sitting in the gardens. All round an awesome lunch we had

Such a beautiful hidden germ This place really complicated our beautiful holiday with its well maintained gardens, and friendly staff No t to mention Breakfast and Dinner.... It was devine The rooms have a little patio that takes you through to the garden ❤️❤️❤️

Love staying here, they are just always getting better. They are truly focused on great value for money and customer service. The food at the restaurant is world class and the steak selection is the best I have ever seen. Just a great place to stay.

Outside of me finding a housekeeper in my room whilst I was wiping myself down getting ready for breakfast way before checkout time and when addressed with the manager in charge I was spoken to in a very condescending manner and made to look like I was just exaggerating for being upset for coming out of the shower and finding someone in my room before checkout time…. Im just curious if I was not in the room and I had come back to report that something had gone missing from my room if I would have been given the same energy when reporting it. It took the housekeeper approaching me and acknowledging that she had overstepped and understood why I would be so livid to walk out of the shower and find someone in my room like I did without making me feel like I was being unnecessary for even taken it up…. Considering that our checkout day was on mothers day we decided to enjoy the bar post breakfast in celebration and we were given a thumbs up with no forewarning that we would need to do that elsewhere because they had people coming over for an event that was pre planned, we would have left happily with no issues…only for us to be moved to the garden area because the dinning area needed to be set up. We didn’t have a problem and happily moved to the garden area because it was a beautiful day and the garden was incredible…..but that was short lived when we were practically chased out of the garden area which made no sense because we were told that we would be able to sit comfortably and we would be out of the way…It took us having to ask one of the staff members why we were being treated so poorly without anything being communicated clearly to us, only for them to finally inform us that we were in the way because they were setting up of r a Mother’s Day celebration. We were not forced to choose this establishment nor were we forced to stay and want to enjoy the facilities so it should be noted that every customer that chooses to use their resources I.e. money , time etc at an establishment, sufficient research is done about the place and it is disheartening to have received such lowly treatment from a highly rated establishment. Outside of the above mentioned; the establishment is well kept, the gentleman that received us upon checkin was incredible and the bar staff was top tier.
