Εξαιρετικό service, πολύ καλές παροχές, ευγενικό προσωπικό. Οι εγκαταστάσεις είναι ανακαινισμένες και το φαγητό πάρα πολύ καλό. Υπάρχουν πολλές περιοχές για παιδιά, δραστηριότητες, κινηματογράφος και άλλα. Είτε για σκι είτε για χαλάρωση, το συστήνω.

9.5/10 for a 1st time family ski trip. 2 adults & 2 kids(4 &8) travelled with crystal ski to Hotel Rila, Borovets. Absolutely fantastic all round experience including hotel, travel company & ski school. Everything is on the doorstep of the hotel, in centre of resort and at meeting point for ski schools and ski lifts. The Rila hotel Staff are very nice and helpful, the ski kindergarten is perfect for our 4 year old - staff very good, kids well looked after and do little skiing runs twice a day. The hotel rooms and good sizes and very clean. They are service daily. The hotel buffet is fresh, lots of choices and perfect for kids. It is a buffet so don’t expect 5 star gourmet, but food is well cooked, fresh and different choices each day. The hotel has the ski rental also, so no need to travel to get skis or boots. Essentially the convenience of this hotel for ski schools and ski rental location is 10/10 The only negative for families I found was we booked a piste view room, but at night these are very noisey from the bars on the Main Street. So for families I’d recommend not booking a piste view.

Stayed at the rila in March and we couldn't fault the hotel. Our room was lovely, it was modern, clean and spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the slopes. Breakfast and evening meals in the hotel were good, it was fresh and lots of choices. The location was perfect for the slopes, bars and restaurants. The spa was fantastic and pool area/ jacuzzi too. Pick up of ski equipment was very straight forward. Though I would not describe the guys working in their as friendly, in fact far from it (all except one). Have to agree with others that the 1pm pick up by Balkan is not ideal. The mall was big and quite nice, however it is not what we were on holiday for and left us at the airport 4 and half hours early of our take off time. Especially not good when we were then delayed an hour and had a 3 hour drive home in the Uk. All very frustrating. Overall, a great holiday.

Well another great trip to Borovets Bulgaria, we stayed at the Rila Hotel again and the experience was fantastic. The staff were brilliant and our room was amazing with a scenic view out onto the slopes. The food was varied and plenty of it. I made good use or the pool and spa areas this time and if you timed it right they weren't too busy. The only criticism I have this year is the introduction of the guests having to leave the hotel at 1pm on their day of departure. This is fine if you have early flights, however if you are not flying until later in the evening there are issues. The Rila and Balkan holidays have come up with an idea to bus you out at 1pm and take you to a large shopping mall on the outskirts of Sofia for hours instead of you being able to relax and spend time in the resort enjoying the scenery, bars, restaurants which is what you came for, not spending half a day at a mall. I hope this option will change as my guests are thinking of other travel and hotel arrangements if they are being forced to comply with what is now in place. The Rila is a fantastic hotel and I hope we can continue to be a part of their experience. Regards, Richard Paines BEM

Hotel facilities were great. Rooms are clean, the maids are friendly and helpful each day. Some staff need some training in customer service - it was hard to find a member of bar staff who made us feel welcome. Bar staff at the terrace especially - we felt like a burden every evening so we started going out to different places. Ski and boot hire on the first day was a circus! Much more coordination needs to be done between staff as our whole group was made to feel uncomfortable and problematic (not sure if this is wholly the hotel’s fault). But this wasn’t a great experience and none of the reps really knew what was going on either. Food is good - lots of fresh choice. Spa is great - lovely woman on reception who is so welcoming every day. Overall good, but I feel that when spending money on a nice hotel, customer service needs to be a priority - I’ve had my drink slammed in front of me and eyes rolled a few times this week!!

Conveniently located hotel right at the bottom of the slopes. We stayed in a superior room and high was lovely a clean and big enough for two adults and our daughter. Shower was amazing and beds very comfy. The pool and spa were great after a days skiing. We were often the only ones there in the early evening. Breakfast and dinner options were plentiful, we never had any problems finding something everyone liked. Staff also very friendly. We would definitely come here again.

Great hotel in a perfect ski in - ski out location. Excellent piste view from balcony (on correct side) Comfy beds Cosy rooms Modern and clean bathroom Robe and slippers (for pool / spa) Quiet at night in corridors Friendly staff Great breakfast options Good selection of drinks at reasonable prices Can get lift passes and ski kit hire in the hotel ATM in hotel Terrace lounge has a good atmosphere DJ afternoon session is good

We are just finishing our 1st trip to Bulgaria skiing and have stayed in the Hotel Rila in Borovets. Excellent hotel, kids completely catered for, reception staff great when dealing with any issues ( we had a problem with noisy neighbours and they moved us straight away). Kindergarten were excellent too. Food varied. Lovely big family room. Skiing has been amazing with loads of snow and excellent runs to suit all levels. Ski in, ski out. Loads of activities in resort. We’ll definitely be back.
