You get what you pay for.
Position is a great pro, as it's literally a 2 minutes walk to the Grand Place

There were bed bugs in our room. This place appears fancy in photos but in person it's all fake and falling apart. The desk staff is lazy and unhelpful. There is a reason they always have vacancies when everyone else is full.

The property is located right near the city center. The rooms are decent but the beds have bed bugs.

Owner is very friendly.
Checkin/checkout was smooth, hotel is centrally located but lacks toiletries.
The interior has lots of decorations and is honestly mesmerising. Lots of stairs so beware of that if you have a stroller or heavy luggage.
Breakfast (continental) was included but we never tried it because we were out until late.
Overall a pleasant stay! Recommend this hotel!😁

I got bitten up by bedbugs in 2 different rooms and had to leave in the middle of the night and check into another hotel. It was a terrible experience.

An astonishing creation 30 years ago, by a Moroccan who created a home from home. It is a magnificent 'riad'. Faded glory in many ways. It has to be experienced. The location is terrific too. Perfect for the tourist, in Brussels for a few days.

This place is at best a hostel. The location is the only benefit. The entire hotel is filthy and smells of cat urine. There is no way that the rooms are up to building code.

The hotel is poorly maintained.
Upon entering, cats were sitting on the chairs where breakfast is served in the morning. By the way, breakfast is a piece of baguette, a croissant, with jam and a slice of cheese. Everywhere there is a different strange smell. The beds were bad and headrests were loose. Frames were loose from cupboards/closets and plasterwork is coming loose from the wall. The bathroom was somewhat clean (no mold), a very small shower and the overall impression was that none of our family took a shower. One of our children asked if bad drinking water can make you sick...
We paid upon arrival and it was too late to aks money back and search for something else, but i really did considered it. Especially after reading a review about bedbugs, we checked everything. We could not find bedbugs but the total impression made us decide to leave our clothes in our suitcases, keep stuff seperated and wash everything the day after at home.
I would really discourage everybody to stay in this hotel.
