Anthony's on the Beach

The hotel is right on the beach and you do not have to cross any streets to get to the beach which is great. The building has seen better days and needs lots of maintenance. Even the little tent outside the reception is tore up and you would think management would fix it so people have a better experience coming in to the property.The room we stayed at was clean and updated but lacked a TV in the bedrooms and only had one tv in the living/dining room. In short you get what you pay for. It was one of the least expensive hotels for the night that we needed to stay and right on the water. I could have payed less for a better room elsewhere but be further away from the beach or pay way more for a better room on the beach.

The room was clean, air conditioning worked well. It appears they are trying to keep up with maintenance but it could be improved. Nobody came to check the room or replace towels, coffee, etc. so we took the towels down and replaced them at the office, and nobody was in the office at the time. We weren't there long enough to determine if that was a one off but it felt like there was minimal support from whoever was actually running the business. The room price was reasonable but updates and service needs to improve.

Property looked run down and unkempt. I chose to forfeit my reservation and stay elsewhere

Being right on the beach was awesome. Met some great people. 1st night was good. Last night there woke up at 12:30 a.m. to a swarm of cockroaches everywhere. Needless to say we couldnt really sleep after that and had to go to the port the next morning. Told the owner and he didnt comp us at all. Charged full price. Never again.

Clean rooms, great rates for being right on the beach. We found the beds a bit too firm for our liking but our friends beds were comfortable. All a preference thing. Nice lower patio that was great for just hanging out. We'd stay here again.

Me and my wife booked through ******* looking for an affordable hotel just to sleep for the night and wake up to go to the beach in the A.M. We ended up arriving at around 12am and had a message from the owner with information about the property and the code to the lockbox with the key. Gaining access to the room was easy and convenient. The drive up to the property was worrisome as it is was very dark driving into the area at night and dim lighting once we arrived at the building. I think this location could use more or brighter lights in consideration of the guests visibility and safety. The smell of cleaning products was a bit overwhelming however the room was clean and everything in the room worked. In the morning we were able to see more of the facility and it’s actually pretty nice. The beach was nice and easily accessible from the property. What I’m assuming was an upper and lower deck patio area was under construction when while we were there so I don’t have a review about that area but it looks like it will be a functional place to relax when it’s complete. Overall, I would say this property is good. If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay in the area and visit the beach, it’s convenient and gets the job done.

Very run down. Not at all what we thought we booked. We cancelled a 3 night stay and contacted ******* but they would not refund. We could not/ would not stay there and lost all of our reservation money.
