La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Brunswick/Golden Isles

Hotel is in good condition, daily new, good amenities for fun like basketball court, pool, barbecue areas, etc. Don’t select based on included breakfast. It was scheduled to end at 10am today and we arrived at 8:56am to nothing but cereal so we served ourselves cereal and then there was no milk so dry cereal was it. No replenishing of anything for the 30 mins we sat in the lobby.

This hotel was exceptional. Clean and spacious, comfortable bed. But the thing that impressed me the most was the bathroom and shower. It was the nicest hotel shower I had ever used. Kudos to this property and their staff.

The hotel was a fairly new hotel and seems to have been kept up nicely by the staff. For a LaQuinta, it was cleaner and more professionally managed than most LaQuintas we have stay in.

Check in was super easy as I paid before we got to the hotel. The room was on the bigger side. Fit a family of 5. The couch bed did not have bedding but front desk was quick to fix the issue. The bed are in the harder side.

This is our 3rd time staying here. Always clean. Very convenient to restaurants and shopping. Visited Jekyll Island nearby. Wonderful breakfast. Not very good water pressure but not a problem😇

When we arrived there was no manager manning the front desk. We waited five minutes then stayed looking around. Found a purse just laying on the desk and a wallet on the floor. We were uneasy about being here. Finally the poor check in person showed up and she had been busy all day and had only taken a bathroom break. It's a shame that a hotel this big only has one person working the front desk. Other than that i have no complaints. It's a good place to stay over night while traveling

It was impossible to manage heating and cooling in the room. When I put it on cool at 71 degrees it would heat the room to 76. If I turned off the system the heat blew continuously going above 76. When I complained at the desk, I was told that it was tricky and everyone was having trouble if it is tricky, then include directions in the room. If system doesn’t work, fix it. In addition the breakfast was practically non-existent. No eggs by 8:20, cereal is over the counter because filling a dish from the existing dispenser just splashes all over the counter.
