Part 1, The Bad:
Firstly, this is a wedding hotel. This should seriously be mentioned in the hotel's information. Since this is a wedding hotel, that means children are allowed. This should be amended in the hotel information. It also means that other guests are quite noisy because of the festivity that they go to the hotel for--a wedding. I specifically chose this hotel for its location and the fact that it says no children allowed in this hotel.
Secondly, there are no restaurants, nor snack bar or anything at this hotel other than breakfast. The 2 buffet places in the hotel are Only for wedding guests. When I went and asked about where to eat, I was met with great disdain from one of the staff working in the buffet room. I returned to the front desk to ask again just to be sure, and I quickly learned that they only know enough English to help you check-in. (I spoke in Korean to all the staff after trying English failed.)
The only nearby food is a McDonald's that is a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
Thirdly, I ended up doing some light cleaning around the room because it was clear that the cleaning was sub-par. The room was also an ice-box when I arrived. The weather was not nearly warm nor hot enough for the room to be on winter-mode.
Lastly, I had a terrible first day at this hotel. I never had an experience where I wanted to check-out and ask for a refund on the day (nor even hours after) I arrived at a hotel.
Part 2, The Good:
Firstly, I slept pretty well in the bed and the TV had great movies to watch.
Secondly, the views out of the windows are very nice and mountainous.
Thirdly, the hotel is a good walking distance from the nearest bus and subway station, about 15 minutes. You also have good access by taxi to the nearby cities (Seomyeon & Gwangan) for a decent price of roughly 10USD.
Finally, I 10/10 will not stay here ever again.
