Cute room! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great food next door. Couldn't enjoy some of the amenities since the place was renovating. Not the best showers around, but overall worth the price!

The hostel was nice and clean. The location was nice in regards to the beach but is a bit of a hike from the bus station if you don't catch there shuttle. The staff were nice and helpful and the amenities were pretty good for a hostel.

My wife and I agreed this was probably our favorite hostel in all of Oz (Outback and East Coast). Its a bit expensive but worth it. It’s not in the heart of town, but we preferred the location which has a nice cafe/restaurant directly next door and beach is literally across the street. Could see the water from our private room above reception. Staff could not be friendlier and more helpful, shout out to Argentina, happy for their futbol win! There’s a shuttle that takes you to town every hour, but after a few margaritas it’s a pleasant 20 min walk back even at night. Bathroom and shower was nice, kitchen nice, and wifi was strong. Our only mistake was only staying one night during our east coast tour. Byron is worth as many nights as you can afford.

Augustina was really helpful from the minute we arrived. We had a dorm room booked, however I had an injury on arrival and Augustina went above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable and upgraded us to a private room. All staff were really friendly at the hostel, we would definitely return!

An overall good hostel, however feel we just had a bad experience. The hostel itself is very clean and has good facilities but we found the reception staff to be rude and unhelpful. The room we was put into, had a faulty light which kept tripping leaving us in the pitch black. We was told that it was someone next door to us with a faulty plug or lead. So everytime, it tripped, we’d have to walk down to reception, ask them to turn it back on and repeat. this issue happened about 5 times in the space of an evening and after me and my friends being caught out in the shower or on the toilet in pitch black, decided to phone reception instead of walking down there. We was answered by a lady with a rude tone and said she would be down soon to fix the problem. We was stuck in the dark for about 10 mins before she finally came and switched them back on. She would also just walk in without knocking to say “done” and walk out again. Like i said, overall good hostel but feel certain staff need some customer service training x

Very good facilities and staff. Thanks to agustina in particular for being super friendly. Highly recommend staying here. Yoga was very good. Close to the city and free surfboard hire make it even better. ......................,..........
