Chateau le Cagnard

I booked my reservation direct with the resort and booked with Sonia. I also dealt with Heythem and Sonia during this time. All very friendly and polite. So pleased l was sent instructions and I read them on how to get to the hotel lol!! We arrived by train and walked to Luce car park and was picked up by the hotel. I don’t think it matters how many times you see it on line you will still not be ready for the beauty of the hotel or the village. It is absolutely beautiful. The art work in the reception area I believe freedom is amazing. The reclining roof imported from Italy is another level of amazing in the restaurant. Our room had a baloney and the view was lovely. The furnishings in the hotel and rooms are perfect for the ambiance of the hotel. The bed is comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant which was special the menu is themed I believe. We are pleased we had the meal which was all items off of the menu. My only disappointment was as we only stayed one night ! Make sure you take your swim wear for the plunge pool! Plenty of places to relax - wine is very nice at the hotel. It’s a place to sit back and relax or explore.

This gem of a quiet, friendly, welcoming hotel is really something special. Close to the airport smack in the middle of Nice and Cannes, not far from St. Tropez nor Monaco. The perfect nest for discovering the always buzzing Côte d´Azur. If you wonder where to stay...... look no more. It´s a gem!

A fantastic long weekend at this genuine hotel. It was a quick start to the summer with sunbathing on the beautiful terrace.and many pleasant experiences in the area. The beautifully decorated ceiling in the dining room can be opened, so you can look up at the sky.

Location provided fabulous views. Modernisation of the bedroom was delightfully in keeping with the age and style of this luxury hotel. We stayed in France for a month and my husband thought this place was the best out of all the hotels we visited.

The highlight of our French Riviera trip. Wanted to call out our receptionist Fiona for being so nice, friendly, attentive, and welcoming. All staff we interacted with were extremely nice. We booked with points through Hyatt. Some highlights: - really clean for a 1300s building - so. so. picturesque. Every room in the hotel was a photo op, extremely well maintained. The entire town (mountain area) of Cagnes sur-mer was also the most picturesque town out of the towns we had visited in the French Riviera this trip (Cannes, Nice, Menton, Monaco, M****illes, Aix en Provence) - Chateau is located on top of a mountain, which is hard to get from train station. We called ahead and Fiona helped arrange driver pickup (free of charge) from train station. Driver was super helpful for both pickup and dropoff to train station. - extremely close to the main square area of Cagnes sur mer -- simply go out from the first floor (lobby is at 0 floor, so 1 set of stairs up from that) and it will be within ~7mins walking distance - free shuttle #44 to take you to and from top of mountain (2mins walk from chateau) to the bottom of mountain of town (has grocery stores, etc.) - breakfast had abundant variety, super delicious, with great view - pool was extremely serene and relaxing Interesting callouts: - breakfast is only 8-10am, which is a bit of a tight window - elevator is really small and interesting (adds to the medieval character) - toilet in room bathroom requires you to put down the lid fully in order to reach the toilet flush button

Situated at the top of the small quaint village of Cagnes-Sue-Mer, this charming refurbished hotel, part of the Small Luxury Hotel group, is a welcome respite from the busy seaside life. Upscale bedding, bathrooms and amenities, beautiful views of the Mediterranean, a mix of modern and original architectural elements form a charming and comfortable stay. Full breakfast served in the dining area off of the cozy lounge, on the terrace. Bathrobes and slippers, high end bathroom amenities, shuttle service to and from bottom of village. Impeccable service and friendly staff.

Our favorite stay from the trip - by far! It’s such a cool space in a medieval town called Cagnes-sur-Mer. The staff was incredible! When they learned we were “working from home” they gave us a dedicated office for the day. We’ll definitely be back!

Great remote small hotel with beautiful architecture and great services. I’ve enjoyed it so much and I really recommend this place. The restaurant terrace have a great view so it’s a really nice place for breakfast and dinner. It’s ok if you want to have and experience and an old chateau. But this come with good and bad things.

This hotel is located on the top of a hill overlooking the sea. The streets leading up to the hotel are incredibly narrow, so absolutely listen to the hotel about where to park your car. The views are excellent and the staff is as good if not better. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet hotel out of the thick of things.
