City Plaza Apartments

Property manager Complained about late check in, even though we noted on the Wotif booking. He then complained that we didn’t book direct and noted how much money we lost on arrival. Several things in the apar**ent didn’t work. Toilet leaked and would refill constantly. Aircon in lounge room rattled soo much we couldn’t use. There was nothing in the apar**ent to clean, had to use a towel to clean the floor after being at the beach. Virtually no toiletries were provided: 1 roll toilet tissue, some shampoo and 2 bars of soap. A bit rich for the price. Kitchen had no oven, toaster didn’t work, no overhead extraction fan, no frying pan. Think they should revise their star rating and prices. Very disappointing considering how often I use this website for work. Please review NB

Great place. Very close to hospital cafes tavern airport. Kitchen too.

The property had a pool and was close to the waterfront.

Their website advertises Reception open daily 8-30am to 2-30pm, management available by phone, email & live on site. They also advertise an on-site manager & an on-site tour desk to assist guests with enquiries - what a joke. We arrived at 8-30am to find a sign in the window to ring a phone no. as desk unattended so we rang where we were told "she would ring the manager & he MIGHT come, when my husband asked how would we know if he was coming we were told to ring back in 15mins and she would let us know!!!!! We rang back and were told yes he would come so we waited. What a shock when he did turn up, no apology, no "Hi I'm the manager" instead he was very sullen, wouldn't look at us, just leaned on the wall staring at his paper work saying "I didn't know you would be this early" When my husband said it was stated in the paper work he they had sent us, he just repeated that he didn't know we would be here this early. Eventually, my husband said we just wanted to store our cases until check in but if our room was ready and we could check in that would be great as we had come in on the "Red eye" from Perth. He mumbled something and walked away, when he came back he had an eftpos machine & told us how much we owed. My husband asked where our room was to which he indicated with a flick of his head, gave us a key and walked away. I also asked about storing our bags when we check out as we have a night flight home, the answer was very vague something about leaving them in our room, the cleaners would figure it out and put them in storage nothing about retrieving them or how late we could leave them. We have been here 7 days and the unattended sign has been in the reception window the whole time. The bed was comfy and the apar**ent was cleanish, no wine glasses at all, a couple of dirty coffee cups but in need of some serious TLC but I guess the state of the apar**ent was reflected in the price and it was well situated but I would not recommend it to anyone or stay here again.

Clean, comfortable and spacious with 2 bedrooms. Close to travel around to various activities we booked during our stay. Quiet and peaceful.

Lovely quiet complex. Spacious rooms. Pool and outdoor spa. 30 minutes walk to restaurants and shopping and marina for reef activities.

A convenient place to stay. Easy to get to and not too far from main city.

The manager was rude and the unit old and dirty. The double bed mattress had caved in on on side, the bathroom was mouldy (painted over) and the only ventilation was the window over the bath/shower which allowed the neighbours to see you shower. The balcony was FILTHY. the tiles in the kitchen were lifting. Was not allowed to check in until 2:30 even though the owner knew we arrived early morning and their website states a 1:30pm check in. Not once we're we told o enjoy our stay. Even upon checkout we were not asked how our stay was. Would not recommend to anyone. Certainly not 4 stars as website says.

Nice sized apar**ents with two bedrooms, separate bathroom toilet separate, nice touch of an extra basin etc outside bathroom. Good laundry facilities, kitchen ok no oven but has microwave and hotplate, full sized frig. Pool good with great barbecue close handy.
