Neelams the Grand Hotel

Worst experience ever, hotel not maintained well no proper house keeping linens stained first before checkin we had a bad experience rude staff except Neha Natalia a and nayan and Shayam were really good…over crowded … horrible breakfast… no Goan standard not worth spending that money in such property … swimming pool was always full of men changing clothes in the open spitting neat the pool… over all I would not rate them even one star hotel… also they take pic of you adhar card and the barcode also which is not safe pls be careful no

The cleaner, SK Dhobi, did a smashing job, the room was immaculate, always had a smile on his face and warm greeting we loved him. The pool attendant LALIT. We think he is telepathic, all you had to do was look at a sunbed , and look at where you wanted it putting, and done for you straight away, and he was more than happy to run to bar for drinks. And he helped me in and out of pool as I'm a non swimmer. Lovely ***, Mohan, the customer relations ***, is also a lovely person always chatty and friendly and sorts out problems instantly. The multi talented ***ager, who sings and ***agers the hotel, if you go to him with a problem it's fixed while you are still talking to him. But overall all the staff are all well trained, polite very helpful, very friendly, super people. Can't fault any of it.

Myself, my husband ,my sister and Brother in law arrived at Neelams on 9th January expecting good things from what we had read in Tui brochure, photos of the hotel online, and fairly good reviews, sadly this was not what we got. WE were shown to our rooms which weren't actually all that bad even though the furniture was looking a bit on the shabby side, bed was comfortable, had to keep the black out curtains constantly shut due to no net curtain being up and people in rooms opposite would be able to see right into our room. unpacked and went down to the beach for a couple of hours and came back hoping to have a couple of hours by the pool. this is where things went really bad. We walked into the main outside pool area to be met by about 200 suited Indian men who were on a 2 day conference. They had basically taken the hotel over. Not a chair, table, sunbed to be had and that was it with them all around the pool and in the pool for the rest of the day and night, even if we could have got a sunlounger it would have been really uncomfortable lounging on it with all these men just wandering around staring. they were out there partying getting drunk, sleeping on the sunloungers all night, then going up to their rooms to carry on with loud music, drinking, and partying. I was up in he early hours asking one group in the room next to ours to stop but had to get reception to deal with them. got up next morning and going down the stairs that had piles of dirty food plates from room service piled up on the stairs, bin bags, empty liqour bottles that weren't cleared for 24 hours, We went to breakfast to be met with the dirtiest filthiest dining room I had ever seen in a hotel, they had all been down for breakfast early before the start of the days meeting and not a single table was cleared, plates, cups, cutlery food all over the place, dirty napkins thrown all over the floor. The table where the tea and coffee was preprepared in urns was filthy with cereal spead all over it, empty sugar packets, sugar everywhere, dirty spoons, napkins all over it. we couldnt stay and eat there so we left and ate out. Returned later that day to be met with the same thing again so another bad night. Next morning we ***aged to get a clean table and went to find the food for English guests, although their were very few English staying there. This consisted of sloppy baked beans, tomatoes, boiled eggs, potatoes, something described as sausage, and something that looked like porridge. decided to go and ask for fried eggs instead. they had no idea what I was talking about. I had to explain to the so called chef how to fry an egg and finished up with a half cooked mess, By then we had had enough. I ***aged to get hold of the Tui rep and asked to be moved. He was somewhat surprised we wanted to moved. He said he would sort something. he said we could move to the Sonesta inn for £600.00 but then we received an email from him saying it was unavailable for the rest of our 2 week s

The facilities are good in this hotel. The rooms were hygiene and maintained with cleanliness. The quality and quantity of the breakfast was also lovely. Services 10/10 Satisfaction 10/10 Recommendation for the stay 10/10 Staff Service 10/10 Front office assisted in giving us an easy and smooth check out. Overall had a great stay indeed!

We had a great stay in this hotel. The bed and pillow was comfy to use. The morning breakfast was yummy and it really did set the tone for our day. The beach is so close located to this hotel area. The staff are all good and very caring and helpful. I will recommend this hotel certainly to everyone.

We had a pleasant stay for consecutive two days and right from check in to out the stay was peaceful and amazingly superb The staff were all lovely and meet up. Front office staff Valusha assisted us in giving an easy check out. We even hosted our company event and it all went down to be successful due to the co operation of this hotel GM Jacob John and the entire ***agement of Neelams. The restaurant food was tasty and rooms were tastefully furnished with all the amenities. The hotel has a peaceful atmosphere and our days spent here made us more happy. This hotel has amazing co frerence halls to host certain events andmeet your expectations and other stuffs.

Nice place for stay close to the calangute, near comdlim beach. Well ***ged facility with natural planted balcony and view. Rating 3 out of 5 Room - 3 Food - 2 Ambiance - 4 Service - 3 Price - too high Pool side - 3 Overall average experience as compare to price.

It was great experience for having stayed here for two nights and one day. Firstly the check in was smooth and hassle free and thanks for the express check in Mohan and Vasant. The food was delicious and the service stewards were there to assist us and thanks Costas,Mahesh and Balbir. Rhe swimming pool is well maintained and poolboy was always there to help us woth the pool towels.

Nice place and I can call this property as a hidden gem in Goa. The rooms are good and clean and with all required things put into the place. The staff have been brilliant and hotel is well connected to the beach,shacks,wine shops and Decathlon sports outlet for the tourists. The food was good and we ordered biryani and curd rice which was delivered quick to our room and staff Mohan,Valusha and Vasant were found helpful and polite. Thanks Costas,Omkar, Mahesh and Preeti.
