Globales Samoa

We came here for a short break of four nights and five days. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel and location. We booked a TUI package, which came with an EasyJet flight. TUI give this hotel 3 stars but I would give it 4. I’ve been to many a 4-star hotel which is not half as good! Trying to be helpful I will list the For’s and Against’s. Good First impression of the Clean, Light & Bright open reception area. Dining Room is clean and well lit. The staff rush about and keep everything well topped up and surfaces clean. Up some stairs and through sliding doors is a large outside veranda eating area. It is a bit more peaceful than the rushing about in main restaurant, although you still select your food from the main restaurant. However there are hot & cold drinks machines up on the veranda. There are always two or three staff working up there and keep the area clean and plates are quickly removed when you finish eating. There is always something I could or would eat. I am Coeliac and they could give me cereal, chocolate muffins, sliced bread all Schar brand and lovely bread rolls which were delicious. There is also a Bar down a few steps from reception which serves lots of drinks, we found the wines and cava consistently good, although they are served in plastic tumblers, as it serves for people sunbathing by the pool and at the outside entertainment area at night. Beyond that Bar there is a Snack Bar which is very popular. Serving burgers, hot dogs, pizza, salads, pastries, and fruit etc. Our room was on floor 8, the top floor. Lovely views of the sea and also the holiday shops and bars opposite. Our room was cleaned well every day and towels we had used, and put in bath to replace were done so. Poor Our main problem was our room, the walls must be paper thin as we could hear our neighbours talking until past 2 am every night then snoring loudly! They only came to their room around 11.30pm and wacked the TV on full blast and that didn’t go off until after 3am. If they had spoken English, I would have heard every word they said. After two nights we spoke to Reception, they weren’t too keen to give us another room, saying that we could have similar noisy neighbours. They suggested we phoned them if we had noise after mid-night. So we had very few hours of broken sleep the whole time we were there. This was disappointing as the only thing I had asked for on booking the hotel was a “quiet room”. The lifts for this large eight story hotel were just two small ones which advised no more than four people travel in each one. So anyone with suitcases or a pushchair meant you waited even longer for the lift. Particularly at breakfast time, you had to wait for ages, and then up to eight people would squeeze in. The pool was quite small. One third was taken up with two water shoots and that was the deeper part. The rest of the pool was for everyone else and about 4 feet deep. This is our second year staying at this hotel. It really is a hidden gem! From the moment you check-in until you leave the all the hotel staff, especially reception are friendly, warm and approachable. The food choice is excellent and caters for all palettes. The snack bar pizzas are hand made, authentic and very thin and crispy (My favourite is tuna and black olive). The evening shows are very entertaining and I have no doubt this is all down to Alex the entertainment manager who seems to co-ordinate and choreograph everything. His professionalism just shines through. We are travelling as a couple and will be heading back to the UK soon with another year of happy holiday memories from the exceptional Globales Hotel Samoa. A big thank you to all hotel staff!

Overall a nice hotel. The room is nice and clean and the bathroom is spotless. The bed is really comfy. The staff at front of house were always helpful and polite. The waiters and bar staff again were polite. Overall a comfortable, friendly, nice hotel. I would say perhaps more French and spanish guests, hence why food is more catered to the French. However I could always find something I wanted to eat. The food was ok, but became a bit repetitive, but that is because I mainly ate the same things to stick to what I like. Was always the options of rice and chips daily, then would be a selection of meats on different days aswell as wide range of selection on the salad bar. The desserts were often the same daily, which were the same selection of cakes. The chicken one night wasn't cooked enough for me, so stayed away from meats thereafter. There is a food snack bar open during the day for a few hours which can help yourself to pizza, burgers which i found was good. Was mixed guests really, older couples, few families with children. I liked that it weren't overly busy at the beginning of May, meant the pool area was relaxed. The que to the bars were not long at all, was served very quickly and it's a plus that there is a self serve hot drink machine and cold drink. The hotel was very close to the beach which was good. There was entertainment in the hotel which I didn't really bother with, however looked ok when passing. The schedule is written in french so I didn't know what each was and had to translate on my phone.

If you're looking for a retirement holiday then this hotel is the place to go. Not for families with young children at all. A lot of French and Spanish OAPs. Can't fault the hotel as it's beautiful and very clean but it's very much catered for the French and the older generation. No English food (apart from chips) at meal times. We saw a lot of Brits walk in and then straight back out again. We had to go out of the hotel for food every night as nothing looked appealing. Not ideal as we paid for all-inclusive. There was a lot of fish, veal, venison and undercooked pork. The snack bar was basic and was the same every day but was edible. We are not a fussy family even something simple like a spag bowl would have been nice. Pablo at reception is amazing. If you need/want anything he's the man to go to. The evening entertainment was appalling which made it comical. 30 mins mini disco for the kids again it's the same every night. Just dancing on the stage to the same boring music. Even the adult entertainment was rubbish. If you're a pensioner then you'd probably be satisfied. All the entertainment is inside as the old people complain about it being too cold outside in the evening. No kids club during the day either. I found everything starts late as well. Dinner doesn't open until 7.30pm shuts at 10pm. Kids entertainment starts at 9pm and adult entertainment at 10pm. These are just the faults I found with this hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. The pool is well maintained. Rooms are cleaned every day. I've been to this hotel around 6 times now but this visit was my first in about 10 years. A lot has changed and not for the better. I will not be returning

I arrived here with my son (4 years old) Overall a great stay here but just a few things I would have liked to known before arrival/booking. You cannot check in until 2pm but there’s a room for your suitcases so you can go straight to the restaurant/snack bar/drinks. We did manage to check about 1pm and our room was ready. The hotel staff/entertainment speaks multiple languages mostly French or Spanish. As I arrived as did another couple just infront of us (French) a male staff member came over ready to great us and take us around but a the receptionist corrected them and he was for the French couple not us. As a solo parent with my child I would have liked a tour around. The snack bar was really good.. bacon, hot dog sausages, burgers, chips, pizza, baguettes, salad, pastry’s, loads of fresh fruit. Breakfast was good, bacon, sausages, scrambled egg, fried, boiled, toasties, fried friend, chocolate pancakes, with Nutella, croissants and other multiple pastries. Also always fruits, cereal, hams and cheeses. And baguettes and bread. The restaurant was ok I had no problem eating most days but there isn’t any food options like you’d have for children like chicken nuggets etc. I had to go to snack bar for him. For lunch and dinner there was always different types of pasta, paella, chips, rice, vegetables, fish, some days chicken, viel, beef. Salad selection really nice, they had British sauces also. They had ice cream there and at the bar area but if you wanted branded ice lollies you need to pay for these. The rooms lovely, air con which is needed. They have 2 lifts but they are tiny and always a wait as this hotel as 8 floors. They had entertainment every night I didn’t manage to get to see it every night as my son would be in bed but they have a kids disco at 9 which I thought was a bit late. Right opposite the hotel loads of shops with British items, and souvenir shops everywhere. 2 minutes down the road a trampoline area and games for kids which is cheap. Beach literally 2 minutes away.. ask for the way through the other side of hotel. Lovely park area for the kids next to snack bar. Pools are good, the kids pool is a good size and the other a good size too you can’t have large inflatables though. Kids one that’s no problem. Sunbeds wasn’t a problem but if you wanted a particular spot I’d get up early to put your towel down. People do this early. You can’t go in the pool till 10pm. Overall a good stay here I ate out twice due to first night needing to get my son to bed early and the last night as a treat and there’s a selection of restaurants close by and not expensive at all.

Samoa hotel part of the globales resorts I wood rate this hotel a 1 🌟 I have been here for 3 days and can't wait to go home ROOM plugs are falling off the walls not clean . cleaners walk in very early but at least the air-conditioning work.POOL nice but too small.FOOD breakfast ok but not very hot SNACK bar is great food is hot and tasty DINNER food ok but not very hot recommend SNACK bar LUNCH ok again not always very hot ENTERTAINMENT some good entertainment stuff I have never met a bunch of people that are so rude and miserable spots their is a good range of sports and the sports stuff are good. Reception stuff not bad could do with improvement. Beach is nice little walk down to it not far and some nice walks along the coast as well I know it sounds like I am moaning but I like to tell the truth so that people can save their money and spend a little more and get something better the saying goes pay cheap get cheap use oh no off right at this a one-star maybe I am being a bit harsh to Star tops

Amazing hotel , great entertainment on the night , the staff was amazing very talkative, so many activities through the day , the lifeguard Jony was lovely and talkative , great hotel overall recommend

I travelled as a single parent with my 6 year old at the beginning of June for 1 week and had a great time. We were delayed on our outbound journey and didn’t end up arriving at the hotel until nearly 4am - the receptionist was still very welcoming and asked if we’d like to get anything to eat which was lovely but we just wanted to get to bed. The room was fresh, spacious and modern and cleaned daily with fresh towels when required. The only slight improvement would have been a mini fridge available to keep bottled water but wasn’t a major issue. Hairdryer is included in the room but no iron. We stayed on the 7th floor on the front of the hotel so had a lovely sea view - however one of the bars across the road plays music very loud til gone 12am some nights but again nothing major. There were always plenty of sun beds available in the mornings during our stay and luckily seemed to be no mad rush super early to get them which was nice! Pool area was clean and slides were great for the kids. Always 2 lifeguards around the pool which was great to see too. Refundable €20 can hire tennis rackets and balls for an hour on the tennis courts which was good and kids played with the football on the sports court too. The little park is great for younger ones with slide and swings. I thought the food choices for a 3 star hotel were really good. I’ve stayed in other AI resorts where it’s been no where near as nice and fresh so I was pleasantly surprised. There was always a good selection of choice as well as the classic chips, pasta and salads, although the food labels weren’t always clear or in English. The dining area was also modern, fresh and clean with plenty of staff keeping on top of clearing away. The snack bar was a nice addition, open from 10:30am serving croissants and breakfasty bits in the morning and hot dogs, pizzas, burgers etc until 6pm, as well as serve yourself for soft drinks all day and evening. The alcoholic drink selection was average, a few cocktails included in the AI but nicer ones had to pay for - included photos of the AI drinks menu and normal drinks menu in my review. Entertainment in the evenings was great, although usually didn’t start until at least 9pm following kids disco. Saw some really good acts during the week - especially the Motown tribute act, fantastic! Particularly once some of us English guests got up to have a dance. On that note the main clientele of the hotel seemed to be French, with a few English guests - complete mix off families, couples and solo travellers. Quite a few of the French guests came across quite rude during my weeks stay - but that’s no judgement against the hotel - however they seemed to definitely favour the French guests over others. The nearby beach was only a 5 minute stroll and was a lovely little cove which I would recommend visiting. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants over the road around the area as well if you wanted to get out of the hotel. Overall was an enjoyable chilled

Hotel was very clean and the food was especially good for an AI hotel. The daytime activities were non stop and I have never seen so many staff at a hotel which meant everything worked like clockwork. Our private transport back to the airport was late so the Hotel happily chased this up for us and got it sorted so a BIG thank you for that. The resort is small but very adequate and has everything you need. Roll on 2024 as we have booked again😁
