Hotel Tropical Park

This is our 4th time to Tropical Park. When we want a relaxing, sun break, this hotel is our go to. Apar**ents are still very well maintained & spotlessly clean. A nice mix of nationalities and a lovely a**osphere. We were room only so can't comment on the food. Always plenty of sunbeds with the choice of the busier, child friendly pool or the relaxing, quieter pool at a lovely temperature. My one only criticism, the lifeguard HATES the Brits, I said Good Morning to him, in Spanish, the first day & he ignored me. I said it every morning for some reaction, nothing. Yet, when Spanish families arrive he moves sunbeds, makes them comfortable. All other staff are lovely. The cleaning staff amazing.

Only positive to this hotel is the room Diego the animation team. Everything else between the hotel staff and dining area is a complete and utter let down! The food is not even lukewarm it is served stone cold freezing. The restaurant staff have absolutely no idea in regards to signage of which dish is which, seperate utensils for each dish etc. Zero allergen training! This is very dangerous cross contamination was seen numerous occasions that we ended up no longer eating in the resort. Anything that needed addressed with hotel they would blame Jet 2 and uninterested in any customers queries. This hotel is a 2 star at best. The swimming pool is a death trap they shut off all ladders around pool and say it so people don’t get “splashed” then the other stairs and surrounding is so sloppy even with pool shoes! We are still unfortunately here and have witnessed numerous broken bones! Even that the staff do not want to deal with it. We have stayed in Callao Salvaje quiet village many times and know what to expect outside however this hotel has been anything other than relaxing, enjoyable break! Complete utter disappoin**ent,I’ve had a better night with toothache in a hostel!! If you get the chance to change resort I would recommend in doing so!

FOOD: Okay. Food wasn't cold like everyone is moaning about. The hotel is small so not too varied, but there is enough. I am vegan and there was very little for me, but enough to eat. Didn't expect much. ROOM: Our room was great. Fantastic decor with all facilities required. Step free access. The only issue was that the air con only worked in the bedroom. This is a big issue! Additionally, my daughter was asleep in the bedroom with the air con on, which meant we couldn't both sit on the balcony whilst she was asleep because the air con turned off when the patio door opened. SERVICE: Great. I read lots of reviews saying staff were rude but this couldn't be farther from the truth, always welcome to help. My daughter needed a doctor calling and the receptionist was extremely helpful. ENTERTAINMENT: No evening entertainment but knew that going in. There was day entertainment but as the hotel wasn't busy the staff had a job getting people involved. LOCATION: Nothing really around apart from a supermarket and some shops/bars down the road. Enough if you want a relaxing holiday. TOP TIP: Take a 20 minute taxi into Adeje. There is so much there.

The hotel itself is very clean, the rooms are spacious and well set up we have a 1 bedroom apartment which has everything you need. The staff are great and the animation guy is a ray of sunshine. One of our issues is the food in the buffet restaurant is barely warm even when they renew dishes they are the same, surely it's not too hard to keep food warm they must prep it well beforehand. The only bar also shuts at 9.45pm, and they put out all the lights in the area, leaving us sitting in the dark. There is no entertainment at night at all, we came here for a relaxing break but this takes it to the next level. It's a shame because this hotel could be great if they addressed these points. We also asked Tui if we could be moved, but they were no help at all.

PRO'S Lovely hotel with lovely hard working staff. Very relaxed a**osphere. No rush to get a sunbed. Extremely well equipped rooms even though booked half board. Similar to being in an Aparthotel. Excellent Salad bar. Bus stop within 2 min walk from hotel. Staff were very prompt getting the treadmill working for me!! Pools warm to swim in. Daily aqua aerobics. Very nice puddings and desserts!! CONS Being made to buy TWO waters with evening meal ( only wanted one) yet All Inc guest's were brought one bottle to share. Food was lukewarm. And our lunch yesterday ( April 4th) theres was NO meat ( i.e chicken, beef pork) The only protein was ham, fish or boiled eggs. Hubby ended up with crusty bread, chips and tomatoe sauce and some sprouts ( yes sprouts). The final CON is not related to the hotel. We personally like to find a bar with a singer on and there was NO live entertainment in the area. We ended up getting the bus to costa adeje to find entertainment.

Pleasant staff, a heated pool, hot-tub, gym, poolside cafe and well appointed rooms all make this a top place to stay for a relaxing week. The town itself is small, quiet and not overly-touristic. There is a good, cheap bus service to get up and down the coast for day trips.

What a super hotel. In a nutshell for those who dont want to read on, we took a 3 yr old and 9month old on our first family holiday and the food was brilliant, staff ever so friendly and a lovely hotel set up with heated pool. After years of adults only hotels, and being relieved when we passed busy child hotels, when it came to our first family holiday we thought we were bound to end up in one of these mad, chaotic places. However, when arriving here, the first thing to say is it is a small hotel, it's certainly not chaotic. Food wise it was on par with the best adults only we have visited (breakfast is varied and lovely, from full english to waffles, pancakes and churros), the heated pool is lovely, not a wince when I or the kids went in, and the secluded positioning of the hotel is away from the craziness of the main tourist traps. When we arrived, we asked for another cot bed (easily slept our 3.5 year old in) and to fix the door, they came straight away. The guy entertainer is brilliant. We are not one to visit places twice. BAlso local shops sells at end of hotel sells everything you need. Rooms are apar**ents so have oven and microwave etc just in case you fancy getting food in rather than going to hotel buffet. We went half board and once or twice we got lunch in from shop (pizza, bread etc) but most of time we were still too full from breakfast. We aren't big drinkers so half board for us was perfect. Food has a different theme each night which is great. Negatives... despite the friendly nature of almost everyone, the manager wasn't particularly helpful and tried to charge you for things at every opportunity I.e. someone took our towels from the poolside, and she instantly told us we were being charged as she thought we had stolen them, and she insisted on €50 for an extra hour for check out as we wanted our boys to sleep before flight. A bit of understanding would have gone a long way. Its also not that near a beach. Closest one is a pebbly black beach which is worth a visit but not your postcard golden sand, we didn't mind but just to be aware. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing place: Exceptionally clean rooms, general hotel area and the actual town itself. Rooms are spacious, with free safe and aircon, excellent wifi everywhere (around the hotel and in the room) superb kitchen facilities, blackout curtains and large beds. 2 pools, one quieter and never a fight for sunbeds. Large hot tub. We only stayed on a B&B basis but food was really good, different options every day, with a hot and cold buffet, and again plenty of tables both inside and out for dining at. Check out at 12 and free to use showers. Reception team very helpful when we needed to book a taxi or ask any questions. Very accessible with ramps all around the hotel. 2 supermarkets (I’d use the larger one for an extra 3 min walk as it’s slightly cheaper and you won’t walk into the slow opening door! And the staff aren’t as rude!) The restaurants in the area are superb and very reasonably priced. I’d definitely return.
