Occidental Costa Cancun - All Inclusive

Very nice hotel. food was very good at times. Pool is beautiful and staff friendly.

在酒店區一眾全包酒店裡性價比很高，房間可能因為年代久比較普通。游泳池，沙灘，餐廳這些配套設施還不錯。

三餐、飲品、下午茶全包。buffet不需要預訂，開放時間很長，墨西哥餐廳、意大利餐廳、海鮮餐廳需要早上9點lobby預訂席位，除了儀式感十足，餐食量很少一小塊這樣。左手隔壁是個成人酒店，好多衰老的裸體。右手隔壁是公共ferry。沙灘很少人，沙很細。有可以預訂的娛樂項目。酒店圍起來一塊海域或走或遊。隔天晚上酒店有表演，也有乒乓台類康樂設施。

Food was edible but not great. Service was hit or miss. Very small and limited dining and bar options. Bar closed at 11pm on a Saturday!

We stayed at Occidental from January 20th to January 27th and this was our experience. It is a small resort compared to other hotels, it has a small beach area and their pool is open from 8 am to 10 pm. There are 3 restaurants that you need to make a reservation early in the morning: Italian, Mexican and seafood, plus there is a walk-in buffet for dinner, they have theme nights sometimes, like Chinese food, American food, Mexican food were the ones we had, and a 24/7 snack bar. Rooms: clean, bed comfortable, mini fridge always stocked with drinks and snacks. We always left tips for the cleaning lady and the snack person and they took care of us, leaving extra snacks and drinks, and decorating our room for my birthday. Front desk staff: on the rude side, like they're annoyed and don't want to be there, the younger staff was the most helpful. Concierge: super pushy for us to go to this talk (sales pitch) about their resort membership. They tell you at first they have presents and a welcoming package and then they corner you into this. Restaurant staff: very friendly, helpful and even though they get busy they're always come back to check on you. Food: some things were inedible (like the meat lasagna at the Italian restaurant), not a lot of variety when it comes to a la carte in the restaurants. The buffet has more variety of food, specially on those theme nights but the food definitely has room for improvement, at least you won't go hungry and if you want to try somethin

Great beach with a beach bar. I like watching the boat go out while having breakfast! Convenient parking or bus and taxis at the front door.. ferry landing at the back door. Clean and safe!

So the check in process was absolutely horrible. My friend and I were first given a room which someone else was rooming in. We then were put in another room which wasn't what we paid for. After 3 tries we finally got the correct room. The lady told us to leave our luggage in the first room and the bell bot will bring it up to us. Hour goes by no luggage brought to our room so we had to go downstairs where the people looked at us crazy when asking where is our luggage? We finally were brought to the room with our luggage and brought it up to our room. The bartender's and waiters gave great service no complaints about the the bartenders and waiters. The room was nice and the balcony was pretty. What stinks is how you have to do reservations if you don't reserve by 8 AM you have to eat at the buffet. Overall I would say a 6/10.
