I drive a sprinter van, expedite freight, cross country. So I never know where my next stay will be. Anyway, I found this place, I pulled in and parked. I called my wife, because the area looked familiar. Found out we stayed in town 2 months ago, at super 8. Anyway, I sat their, in my van, Making a reservation for a room here.. 2 spots over from me, a lady was in her car, sitting, complaining that I pulled in and parked, and that I was just sitting there. I was still on the phone with my wife, she asked me who was yelling. I told her the lady in the car next to me. The lady ended up getting out of her car, asking if anyone was in the office. She went in. Came out and moved her car. A few minutes later, I got out of my van, as one of the front desk guys was walking to my van. Asked me if I had a room there. Told him yes. Asked me what room. Told him I'm going in to check in now. He said ok. And walked me to the front desk. I told him if theirs a problem, I will take a refund and go somewhere else. He told me no. I told him I will take a refund and go elsewhere. He said no. We don't give refunds. I checked in Anyway. Then he told me someone came in and complained about me sitting in the parking lot. I asked him how is it OK for her to sit in her car, but I can't sit in my vehicle while on a phone call and making a reservation. He told me I don't know. Got in my room, their was cinnamon toast crunch cereal, plastic soap wrappers, and other stuff on the floor. The toilet paper holder was ripped off the door wall. The room was in rough shape in other ways. My suggestion, if your staying in town, looking for a cheap place to stay, across the street about a quarter mile away is a super 8. I've stayed their twice, no issues. Cleaner rooms. I know McDonald's and subway are located right there too, walking distance without having to cross any streets. It's a couple dollars more, but a bit better.
