Studio 6 Carson, CA

When I checked in I got a first floor room because it didnt appear there were elevators. After exiting out the side doors I noticed that the sign said the doors were locked 24 hours a day, and there was a card reader outside, however the doors weren't locked. I made a note to check when I got back because it would be nighttime by then and they ahould definitely be locked, especially with the shady people in the parking lot. I got back around 10pm and the doors were still open. I asked the front desk person about it and he said that guests enter through all 3 sides of the building. I agreed, but reminded him that the doors should be locked (and the sign says the doors are to be locked 24/7), amd that there is a card reader for guests. His next excuse is thag the desk is manned 24 hours so they see who comes and goes. I told him it was a security concern. After going back and forth with him, I finally requested a 2nd floor room for better safety. He made some phone calls, then gave me a 2nd floor room. The new room was filthy...stuff spilled on the nightstand, stained pillowcases and sheets, shredded and stained towels and a clearly unmopped and unswept floor. I cleaned it myself and wore shoes the next 4 days. The side door remained open for everybody 24 hours a day and appeared it wouldn't lock at all. When I checked out at 6am, there was nobody at the front desk...just a handwritten note that said "left at 5:50, no vacancy." All around sketch and dirty.

For the price, it was a really great room. Will definitely be staying here every year we come for Cali vibes.

It's a basic room with basic amenities. It was clean and fairly roomy. There was no elevator to the second floor. We asked for extra towels and pillows (to support a sore back) but was told they don't do that. The rooms were recently redone and were clean. The staff was fine but had limited ability to help with extra accomodations or needs.

The BEST motel/studio 6 I have stayed at ever! & I've been to a few. This place is straight forward, big, spacious, very clean. The staff does a tremendous job at making guests feel welcomed, so much so you won't wanna leave. Extremely professional. You can't stay more than 14 days though, but this place is worth every penny. It's the same price at some places nearby that aren't even half as nice. If i could live here i would.

I was pleasantly surprised. The room is actually pretty nice for a motel. The bed was very comfortable, towels were adequate. Bring your own toiletries as there is only bar soap, but I always bring my own anyways. Check in was fast and simple. I usually stay at hotels and can be a bit picky, but I was very comfortable here. Everything was clean. I would stay again.

Wonderful stay for a spur of the moment trip. Ended up with company and decided to let them stay at our house and we stayed at here. So glad we did, perfect impromtu getaway.

It's a Motel 6. Staff was friendly and allowed us to check in early. Room was clean for the most part. I didn't exactly feel safe around the area though since there were some sketchy people walking around the parking lot high as a kite.

The room was nice, great shower but the vibes was weird and sketchy. The front desk didn’t want to pay some people their deposit back . And they hold my money for 20 minutes and several others to make sure u didnt smoke in the room. And a huge fight happened in the front with staff being judgement and only holding certain people deposit. But the stay before all that happen was nice and quite .

Every single time I stay here always a smooth no hassel check in and I don't think I've ever waited longer then ten minutes. Clean and safe and walking distance to all the shops.
