Hotel Villa Kastelruth

This year we were there again. Unfortunately, the superior room no. 210 that we paid for was very small and without a minibar. The offer was supposed to include 25 m2 with a minibar. It was very cold there, we reported it to the reception. The food this year was incomparably worse than last year. The service in the restaurant and cafe is at the highest level as in previous years.

Almost everything was perfect. Comfy beds, very nice service and great dinner ! Finally a very good spa and wellness area. The villa has a a**osphere and is very good located, very close to the center .

Amazing staff and services provided here for a good price - breakfast buffet had everything you could ask for (they kindly catered for coeliacs like myself so there was an abundance of gluten free food for breakfast AND dinner), spa was perfect and they provided a taxi to the skiing gondola in the mornings! Would love to come back again

My favorite Hotel on a three week journey through France and north Italy, the food is 5 star! The scenery is incredible, the staff - top notch, and the village has everything we wanted. Close to fabulous hiking, miles and miles. The huttë were so accommodating and the food - delish!!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Kastelruth on our two week hiking vacation. Everything you could want and more is provided with friendly professionalism and local charm. The food is delicious and plentiful with many options, the room was fantastic and had plenty of storage space and comfort, the staff was always helpful and each worked to make our stay enjoyable. Katja, the general manager, was always available and hands on, ready with a hiking suggestion or bus route or a laugh. We love the location just off the square and near the bus station and information center. It was our fourth trip in the Dolomites but our first hotel with a hot tube and pool. Much appreciated renewal after returning with tired legs. It’s the bundle of large and small details that made our stay more than we could ask for. They have many patrons that return year after year and we now count ourselves in as one of them!

This was our second visit. The hotel is lovely, comfortable and has a pool. Great hiking all around and you’ll get a workout if you go with Victor M-W-F. Katia is truly exceptional, a GM who knows all the guests names and what language they speak. Everyone on the staff is welcoming. Do the half board the food is great. There’s a happy hour on Sunday; don’t miss it. Make sure you get a room with a view of the mountain and a terrace if possible. So you know this is real, the hot tub could be a little warmer. We will be back!

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Vila Kastelruth. Our room was clean and spacious with a nice balcony. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Every evening we had a 4 course meal that was healthy and delicious! We also enjoyed the pool and the sauna so we would really recommend this hotel!

Staying at the Hotel Villa Kastelruth was one of the most spectacular hotel experiences in a lifetime of travel. To start, the staff are top shelf. They were friendly, polite, conscientious, and accommodating. They were all quite good at communicating with our American English and tolerant of our anemic efforts at Italian and German. We also received excellent local travel advice from the staff. Second, the breakfasts and dinners were far beyond our expectations, especially in light of the affordable cost. The breakfast menu was perfect offering both a robust selections of breads, eggs and meats for a day of hiking in the Alps, but also perfect for eating light and healthy with ample fresh fruit, yogurt and healthy granolas. The dinners were something special. We were leery the first night about whether we would sign up for dinners for our entire stay. However, after the first dinner, a multi-course, multi-choice menu prepared by a kitchen staff with considerable culinary skill, we were hooked and had all of dinner meals in the hotel. We particularly appreciated the novelty of many menu items (e.g., anchovy ice cream with pasta), but equally impressed by the quality of standard dishes. Finally, our room was stunning. It was spacious, impeccably clean, well appointed, with comfortable mattresses and linens, as well as, with a dreamy, skylit bathroom. Our room also offered beautiful views of the Dolomites, as well as, the town of Castelrotto/Kastelruth. We will definitely return.

This is a gem. The staff are helpful, the setting is magnificent, the food is wonderful, and the rooms are super comfortable. This is an exceptional place to stay.
