Agatha Hotel

Awful ! dirty ! breakfast is poor included a tragical coffee machine and you are watched during it ! absolutely poor welcome ! you can't sleep because there is absolutely no isolation ! Avoid it !

The Hotel is totally dirty and a scam, we reserved two rooms , one of them was by the side of a restaurant that is open till 3 Am and is a lot of noise , you can’t sleep from the noise, also the air conditioner didn’t work so it was like a sauna inside the room ,the toilet totally rusty. The paint of the walls was all on the floors. Definitely not recommending this Hotel , compliment for the receptionist girl, who was wonderful. Written by the owner of a Travel Agency !

We checked in for a one night stay. We initially found it hard to locate as there was little signage and the entrance is through a large locked doorway which has a intercom system to reception, but this wasn’t obvious. The location was very good, approx 20 min walk from the train station and close to popular spots such as the market, cathedral and GrecoRoman theatre. Unfortunately the hotel backs onto a street/ yard with bars which played music until 1 am. The rooms were vintage but this gave them a charming Italian feel. Room and bathroom, although unusual layout due to nature of building were spacious. Unfortunately i didn’t get the best nights sleep due to the noise outside and the bed wasn’t comfy. Breakfast was minimal but as was included in the price a crossiant, yogurt, cereal and coffee was satisfactory. Overall would stay for 1/2 nights and was great for us who were visiting the city and mt Etna for 2 days 1 night.

Very nice People working here, they helped us with finding local hotspots and offered us a place to change while our transfer to the airport was quite late. Room was nice and the location perfect. Would reccommend if you want to stay in the centre of catania.

Una stella perché non posso dare meno. Hotel terribile !!!!! Ha tre stelle ma una ( comprata ) sarebbe anche troppo. Ci siamo fatti cambiare stanza perché la prima odorava di fognatura. L'arredo era disastrato con mensole in bagno marce in alcuni punti, le finestre avevano una chiusura approssimativa tant'è che sembrava di essere nel ristorante appena sotto con musica alta fino alla mezzanotte inoltrata. Due bustine di doccia schiuma sufficienti per lavarsi le mani. Colazione da farsi nel bar adiacente con menù da voto 3. Unica positività la zona centrale a un passo da tutto. Da non scegliere anche se come ultima spiaggia. Mi meraviglio che sia inserito come proposte dal circuito American Express

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura che osa chiamarsi "hotel" con un gruppo di colleghi di lavoro. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato in reception un gruppo di altri sventurati clienti che lamentavano in mal funzionamento della serratura della loro camera e sottovoce, vedendoci con i bagagli, ci avvisano del deludente stato delle camere. Il viaggio nel terribile mondo inizia non appena varco la porta della mia stanza: pareti scorticate piene di muffe ed efflorescenze ovunque, pure nella parete del letto; tende sporche, anch'esse macchiate e maleodoranti di muffa; bagno (un tugurio) privo di finestra e manchevole di areazione meccanica (obbligatoria in assenza di finestra); rubinetteria che non ha mai avuto il piacere di conoscere un panno ed un detersivo; soffione della doccia arrugginito e corroso; scaldasalvietta pieno di polvere con sopra l'adesivo del sistema "apri e chiudi" di un pacchetto di fazzolettini; pavimenti macchiati; copriletto in più punti macchiato; cuscini "decorativi" molto sporchi e bucati, adagiati sui guanciali; infissi inefficienti sotto tutti i punti di vista. La notte passa...giunti al mattino scendiamo a fare colazione al bar ( stessa gestione dell'hotel), discreta nel complesso, fino a quando vedo "pulire" il tavolo accanto con un panno...le briciole del tavolo venivano spinte a terra e non raccolte, poi lo stesso panno veniva passato sulle sedie! Un vero mix dell'orrore. Consiglio vivamente ai proprietari di raccogliere la dignità rimasta e prendere in mano la situazione...o di cambiare mestiere!
