This hotel consists of four rooms on the seventh floor of a largely residential block, but with lift access. It is situated within easy walking distance of the main sights and the railway and bus stations. Our flight to Catania was delayed, so we were sent details of the various key codes needed to access the building, which worked fine. The reception is not usually manned, so, in fact, we saw no one from the hotel (but didn't need to – and had contact details in case of any issues) until we were leaving a few days later, when the owner, Antonella, made a point of catching up with us. The room was recently refurbished (along, I guess, with the whole hotel). It was clean, well-appointed and comfortable, with an ensuite bathroom. Notes suggested that breakfast was available to order, but, since we saw no one, we did not know how to access this. However, this was not an issue, with a very serviceable coffee bar more or less next door. Recommended.

Nicely designed and well maintained rooms and spaces.
The window shutters need some work, as they clattered loudly on windy nights.

My stay at B&B Oblo was so relaxing and comfortable. The room was immaculately clean, it had a wonderful view of the port and it felt very safe. As a solo traveller, it was important to feel secure, and I definitely felt that. Also the host Antonella, was so helpful making my stay really fun. She helped organise various activities and took the time to explain to me the layout of the city. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Had a great stay here, location is convenient to the historic center as well as the train station and bus station. Room was clean and nicely updated, comfortable bed,large and modern bathroom, and the communication with the owners / reception was great and they were very accommodating. Would definitely stay again if I’m ever back in Catania.

Great stay in this small B&B. Warm welcome, very clean and beautiful place, the B&B is very well located and has a great view. It is not really a bed and breakfast as they do not offer breakfast service, but some nice caffès on the square have good breakfast options.

The room was small but nice, breakfast was small as well, everything was clean and brand new. The owner was not very welcoming and she was mostly focusing on payment first before even saying good morning which we felt was little bit rude. The b&b is on the 7th floor and there is an elevator. Just to note the balcony is little bit scary if you are not comfortable with heights
