Villa Palamara 1868

I took their all day cooking class and it was terrific . The chef leading it is amazing and the wonderful kitchen is so well set up It’s so fun and everyone should do this as it brings together people , fun, and you learn so much while enjoying this charming property

My first cooking class in Cefalu, Sicily was the most memorable experience I have ever had. Villa Palamara overlooks the beautiful crystal clear blue sea. This is where the magic began. Chef Antonio greeted us with such a warm welcome it was like we were his family. He started us out with mixed bruschetta & tomato bruschetta along with some frittatas & golden fried potato slices and of course a beautiful paring wine. Antonio was incredible at not only teaching us about the food we were getting ready to prepare, but also took the time to show us how to properly use the knives to cut the different foods…very important! Our group consisted of 5 people so having a small group helped when asking questions. We made pasta, fresh tomato sauce, fried eggplant cubes, stuffed zucchini boats and a fresh orange salad with fennel and green onions. Antonio made a pudding-like dessert with current berries on top. I could go on, but you have to experience it for yourself to fully appreciate how wonderful this class was. I would highly recommend taking a class with Chef Antonio. You will not be disappointed!

Un endroit de charme: une belle Villa à l’italienne, historique avec sa chapelle. Un jardin d’agrumes et d’oliviers, de figuiers très odoriférants ! Un plaisir inégalable de respirer! La piscine est grande et magnifique. La vue sur mer est incroyable! Le duplex est pratique. Un peu dommage qu’à l’étage la pièce ne soit pas meublée en mobilier ancien. Quelques petits aménagements avec un meilleur goût serait plus en accord avec le lieu. Petit-déjeuner un peu chiche: tout semble trop compté. Heureusement il y a la gentillesse d’Antonio… En résumé un séjour qui nous a fait aimé encore plus la Sicile.

Die Anlage liegt auf einem Hügel und ist traumhaft schön. Man findet überall ein hübsches und schattiges Plätzchen auf einer Bank und kann von dort aus den sensationellen Ausblick genießen. Der Pool ist großartig und darf auch nachts benutzt werden, sofern man leise ist und Rücksicht nimmt. Das fanden wir toll! Auch von dort aus sieht man immer das Meer. Den Strand (Kiesel) erreicht man nach ca. 15 Gehminuten. Dort war trotz Hochsaison kaum jemand, und das Meerwasser war klar und frisch. Das Frühstück ist klein, aber sehr fein und sehr liebevoll. Wir haben es sehr genossen: köstlicher Honig und Käse und immer frische Melone! Von dem Honig hätten wir gern etwas gekauft. Wir hatten das DZ Albanello und das Appartement Carbonaia. Albanello ist wirklich sehr klein (in der Duschkabine kann man sich nur bewegen, wenn man die Tür offen lässt und sie ist ganz schön schimmelig), und es gibt keinen Schrank - lediglich ein paar Bügel. Da wir uns dort jedoch nur zum Schlafen aufgehalten haben, war es für uns kein Problem. Carbonaia ist größer und bietet eine Kochnische. In beiden Zimmern funktionierte das TV nicht und wir hatten keinen WLAN-Empfang. Aber alles halb so wild, dafür waren wir ja nicht dort :) Andrea war super freundlich und entgegenkommend! Dafür an dieser Stelle ein dickes Dankeschön!!! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt an diesem Ort ＜3
