The Sundance cabin is a romantic, one bedroom, one bathroom get away is perfect for a couples who enjoy nature. Please be aware that google and other gps devices are sometimes incorrect. All roads are open to us now. Please follow our directions. This cabin has a front porch with rocking chairs and a hot tub that outdoors under the stars. There are lots of hiking trails for all levels of hikers. We have a beautiful waterfall that is a short and easy walk from the cabin. The trail system also hooks up with the Appalachian trail so the possibilities are endless. Fishing is available in the creek in front of the cabin or on the larger creeks in our area. The creeks are stocked yearly with trout. Stargazers will enjoy the uninterrupted beauty of the night sky. This cabin has a spectacular view of the moon rise. There are two labyrinths on the property for you to walk if you choose. We love sharing our 100 acres of paradise with you. Our land adjoins the national forest so the possibilities are really endless. We are located 13 miles from Hot Springs where there are quaint little shops, restaurants, an outfitters store and rafting company. We are about a 1 hour drive from Asheville, NC, home of the beautiful Biltmore mansion. There are many activities in our area including, river rafting, kayaking, zipling, hiking, horse back riding and gem mining. There is also local bluegrass music, wonderful drives that lead you on a quilt trail or a barn trail. Your cabin comes equipped with everything you need for you stay. We provide Wifi. We are sticklers about cleanliness and care for our cabins. It has fresh linens, cooking utensils, a kitchen, an outdoor grill, an outdoor fire pit with free firewood, Roku streaming tv, dvd, cd, music system, electric fire place. The hot tub is completely drained, cleaned and refilled with fresh spring water after each stay. For your convenience, we provide a self check in process. You may arrive anytime after 4 pm to enjoy your place in paradise. The hot tub will be warm, the lights on and the key available on the table. We live about 1/2 mile from the property, so if you need anything, you are welcome to give us a call. We believe in allowing our guests their privacy, so you will not be disturbed unless you need something. This cozy cabin is located in the Western NC mountains surrounded by Pisgah National Forest, just off the Appalachian trail near Lemon Gap and Max Patch. This makes it a great place to offer trail support if you happen to have a friend or family member who is hiking the trail. The cabin is also within a day excursion to the Smoky Mountain National Park. There is easy access to the French Broad River which offers a wide variety of river rafting, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. The NC Arboretum, the Folk Life Center, the Blue Ridge Parkway are attractions that many of our guests enjoy. Cherokee and Maggie Valley are also within reasonable driving distance and offer great day excursions. Max Patch is a short drive from our cabin and offers a spectacular 360 degree view from the top. It is an easy to moderate hike from the parking lot to the top. Many of our guests visit there to watch the sun go down, or to take a day hike. The Appalachian Trail goes right across the ridge. If you are lucky enough to visit us around the time of the full moon, you can get a spectacular show from the top of Max Patch. If you go up on the day just before the moon is full, the sun will set just as the moon is rising. Standing on the top of the mountain during this time is a unique, spectacular experience. Wild flower enthusiasts will love exploring the woods surrounding the cabins. There are many beautiful and rare species of flowers blooming from early spring to late autumn. We have been fortunate enough to spot showy orchids, trillium, wild geranium, tiger lily, jack in the pulpit, lady slipper, lily of the valley just to name a few. Early spring also brings dogwood blossoms and wild azaleas in abundance. The Rhododendron are particularly spectacular in the summer months as they flourish along our creeks and cover the hillsides with pinks and whites. It seems that almost every day from April to late October, something new is blooming in these beautiful mountains. Bird lovers will be thrilled to find that we are a major migration route for many songbirds and butterflies. We have a huge population of hummingbirds. A very thrilling site is the indigo buntings who visit our area in the spring. They flash an incredible incandescent blue when they fly by. We have birds such as the nuthatches, towhees, cardinals, orioles, wrens, hawks and many others. We also have many goldfinches and purple finches. With 2 king beds and 1 queen bed, this quaint retreat offers a peaceful escape. The great room with a stone fireplace is separated from the fully equipped kitchen by a roomy 8-person dining table. The upstairs loft with games and books, and the basement area with ping-pong and foosball tables provide separate lounging areas for the whole family. You can relax on the front porch, or grill out on the back porch. The spacious yard has a beautiful custom-built stone firepit for hanging out, cooking s'mores, and enjoying the stars. Cornhole boards are provided for more outside fun.All linens and towels are provided. The laundry area is available for your use during your stay. A highchair and Pack 'n Play are provided for the little ones. Our cabin is pet friendly, without a pet fee. Dog crates are provided for your dogs. We hope you decide to vacation with us!There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is upstairs, with a king bed and its own private bathroom which has a shower and tub. The second king bedroom is on the main level. The third bedroom ha s queen bed. The two main level bedrooms share a bathroom that has a shower and tub. The upstairs loft has a queen futon, and twin size sleeper sofa. The kitchen is fully stocked. From a food processor, crock pot, and stand mixer to a large collection of baking pans. There is a convection gas oven and stove with microwave and toaster oven. The fridge has filtered water and ice available from the door. There is a coffee maker with filters, a grinder for the coffee lovers, and also a Keurig coffee maker that uses K cups. For seating at meals we have a gorgeous chestnut table that seats eight. The living room has a reclining leather sofa, leather rocker recliner and two cozy fabric chairs. The gas fireplace is the centerpiece of the living room, certain to add warmth to your visit. The living room has a 50-inch flat screen TV set up for streaming services (complementary Netflix is included along with Roku channels). Bring your old DVD's to enjoy family movie night, or make use of the DVD library below the TV. We have fast fiber internet and there is wifi available from all levels of the cabin. The kids love the basement recreation room with comfy sofa and love seat, 40-inch Roku TV, electronic keyboard, gas fireplace, ping pong table, foosball table, hula hoops, balls, a kite and 2 sleds. Or the whole family can relax under the shade tree with a game of cornhole, or relaxing in the hammock. We also have a gorgeous stone patio with fire pit for cool evenings. Perfect for s'mores or just relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. We do not supply wood. If you need to do laundry we have an HE washer and dryer. We also have an iron and ironing board in the laundry room. Overlooking beautiful treetops with views of Big Bald mountain off the AT, this cabin has a spacious open-floor plan; cathedral ceilings; floor to ceiling picture window; 2 private decks with rockers and porch swings; hot-tub; game room complete with pool table, darts, and bar area; and 4 bedrooms that can sleep 11 guests. This space is perfect for families or friends with plenty of single sleeping, as well as queen and king beds. You are steps away from the best sunset around from the upper parking lot of Wolf Ridge.Enjoy swinging on the front porch and take in the quiet mountain air with your favorite book and a cup of coffee. You are welcomed in the front door with a place to hang your skis and boots after a day of skiing at Hatley Pointe. For the coffee lover, enjoy your coffee from our Keurig or coffee maker. Coffee and Keurig pods and sugar are provided. There is an ample supply of dishes, plates, silverware and platters for entertaining a large group of family or friends. Our custom-made dining table is spacious and offers plenty of seating for 9-11 people. The living room features cable, Roku streaming, and high speed internet.Master:You’ll enjoy a great night’s sleep as you sink into our king size bed. The master comes complete with cable, smart TV and an attached master bath stocked with ample toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, and cloths.Upstairs Bedrooms:As you climb the stairs to the 2 bedrooms upstairs, don’t forget to take a look at the view from the balcony. You’ll feel like you are at the top of the world.Bedroom One:The kids will love hanging out in the bunkroom with room to sleep four. This room comes with cable, smart TV with Roku and DVD player, 2 bunks for sleeping and bean bags for lounging.Bedroom Two:The second bedroom across the hall offers a queen size bed, a chair, and baby supplies including a pack-n-play and an attachable highchair. This room offers the space and quiet necessary for the baby to nap.Downstairs:Come on down to play in the wolves’ den. Enjoy a card game or favorite board games with family or friends on our oversize comfy couch with a chaise or on the reclining chair, or you can challenge yourselves to a game of pool or darts. You might also cozy up with a good book beside the stone gas log fireplace. Mix up a cocktail or grab a cold beer from our bar area and sit back in one of our cushy bar chairs or enjoy popcorn and a movie (microwave and mini-fridge provided). Enjoy a dip in the hot tub on your private lower deck. Surrounded by trees and mountain views, you will feel the tranquility and relaxation as you unwind from a day of outdoor adventures. Oversized, quick dry Turkish towels are provided for hot tub use.
