This was a wonderful place to stay in Chania...it was just very hard to find! Very modern and elegant, very helpful front desk, very well located, beautiful room, quiet place to sleep. What made it particularly nice for us was our private terrace with a jacuzzi -- a great place to relax after one day's hike in Imbros Gorge. Included breakfast, made very well, was a la carte -- as in, pick a dish, no buffet. When we explained we were leaving early in the morning to catch a 6 am plane, they arranged for a taxi to the airport & without our asking said they'd leave a boxed breakfast for us to take away in the morning. The only hassle was finding the place as we drove into Chania; even Google Maps didn't help, partly because you can't drive to the front door of the hotel since it's on a narrow pedestrian-only alley that's up some stairs & hard to see from the street. (I had to ask at a local bar for directions.) If you're driving, all I can say is drive down Katre Street (one way), make a left at Sifaka (one way), then, about 20 yards up the hill, there's a set of stairs on the right between Barcelona Bar and a cutlery shop. Go up the stairs, walk 20 yards, and reception is on the left (after the entrance to the restaurant.) Difficult to find it, but worth it.
