Homewood Suites by Hilton Charlotte Uptown First Ward

We were in town for the weekend. When we checked in, a sweet girl named Olivia helped us and she was super friendly and helpful. On our second night, someone on our hall was playing loud music and yelling up and down the hall at 2:30 in the morning. My husband called the front desk to let them know. They said they’d send security right up and within 2 minutes we heard “Security”. We were very pleased with how things turned out. We stay there again.

The employees were nice and courteous. The parking was an experience.

The hotel was nice, and quiet, didn't hear doors slamming throughout the night like most hotels. Was told it was only 4 blocks from the convention center. Was actually like 10 blocks. Parking was a little over priced at $45. The valet never sent call links and it took 25-30 min to get our truck sometimes then they expected a tip as those links didn't seem to have any trouble getting through to my phone. Parking/valet would prob be my least favorite about the hotel. Breakfast was spot on! The staff were incredible in the breakfast area. Especially one lady I wish I had her name. My sone was getting over a chest cold and she made him a Honey Lemon Tea.

The variety of the breakfast can be improved.

Fantastic and friendly staff working here! The hotel is clean, nicely decorated/modern and convenient. Pet fee was not excessive. Breakfast had alot of good options FOR FREE. The room had a big tv, comfotable beds and nice kitchen. Very walkable to things around uotown Charlotte. Quiet...didn't hear outside noise even though a bar is right outside the window. Definitely staying here again when visiting family/friends in Charlotte.

This new hotel is a great place to stay very clean, and breakfast is included! it is convenient to downtown locations and there are great restaurants in the area. The one watch out that has been mentioned another reviews as well is the valet service. Shortly after we checked in, we went back to retrieve the car and apparently one of the valet said put down or dropped the keys in a different vehicle. We waited for a while as they searched for the keys and then a person called the front desk, letting them know that they had a set of car keys in their vehicle and they were already, a 3 hour drive away! To their credit, the valet service did secure a locksmith who was able to make a new key fob for the vehicle (a rental) and they did not charge us the valet fee for any of our two nights stay. A good save. There is a parking garage on the other side of the building that you can use instead of the valet.

Great location and walking distance from a lot of the city center. Noisy at night as there are a couple of night clubs on the same block.
