Read Hotel is a beautiful historic hotel. The lobby is classic and our Manor room was well appointed. We encountered two problems though. The front desk clerk was very short with us at checkin and seemed annoyed to answer our questions about valet parking. But, most importantly, our room was so very noisy at night. The walls are paper thin and we heard every conversation in the neighboring room. Also, the doors in our hallway closed with a loud bang every time a guest closed their door. It was one of the worst nights of sleep we have ever encountered in a hotel. At checkout the clerk did not greet us except to ask if we wanted our receipt printed or emailed. No “How was your stay?” was asked. We chose not to complain to her at checkout as she didn’t seemed concerned about us as guests.

Very lovely old, old hotel in downtown Chattanooga. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and both the food as well as service were excellent!

It's a very nuce hotel, super clean, good location, close to many restaurants. And the staff here are super friendly too. I definitely will come back.❤️

前台板著臉，門口代客泊車25一天，還要再另外加税。房間很大，熱水不夠熱，衞生間熱氣打不進多少，洗澡都不敢洗太久怕着涼。酒店本身不錯，很有歷史感，保養的也不錯。

It was a nice hotel for the night. The side by the road can be pretty loud until about 9pm other than that it was a really cool place to stay while traveling through.

I’ve never had room service as an option before. They were very courteous with me as I ordered and the food was promptly brought up. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

The Read House brings back the days long gone. The feeling of history and the nostalgic atmosphere is awesome. Love staying here.

Beautiful hotel in a downtown location within walking distance of pretty much everything. I really liked the hotel. My only complaint is that none of the valet staff could help me with very basic directions to a downtown location. Seems like that would have been something pretty much any adequately trained employee could have done.

We LOVED the Read House. It is filled with charm and elegance. The staff were so very friendly, efficient and accommodating.
We did have trouble with the toilet when we arrived. But a quick call down and maintenance was up in the room within 5 minutes.
This is an older hotel. So the you will hear a rowdy bunch get in the hallways. But it really wasn't an issue.
Note- We were told that because of the age of the hotel the water pressure isn't the greatest. So when using the bathroom, be sure to hold the handle all the way down! Otherwise it won't flush.
We will definitely book there again!
