Not bad also not good

Corridor towards our room had very unpleasant smell. Inspite of requesting a quiet room we were given one overlooking the main road which was very noisy with the traffic. The bed was the worst we have had as it was extremely creaky. The bathroom door was very hard to open and close. Every morning we displayed the top up card outside the door before 10AM but we didn’t get any fresh towels, tea bags , sugar or toilet rolls, the bin was never emptied and it was well over flowing . We had to go to reception every day to get the fresh towels, toilet rolls , tea bags and sugar . It was the worst stay we have ever had in the last 10 years of using Travel Lodge.

Budget friendly hotel well in the range of most travellers. Very comfortable room, clean, and ample sized. Bed big and firm mattress aids restful sleep. Recommend

The room we had was right under a metal car parking gate which was going up and down several times . And there was a few people out side early hours being extremely loud

The car park is a nightmare due to all the supporting pillars there is not enough room to turn between them unless you have a car bigger than a Fiat 500. It looks like this was a Warehouse converted to a Hotel. The ground floor carpark is closed but that is the same layout.

This Travel Lodge was very conveniently placed for our conference. As we got one of the few car spaces outside the hotel it was best for us to walk to our destination as the carpark attached to the hotel is a nightmare!

Do NOT use the first floor of the car park! Unless you have a tiny car or are a phenomenal Parker. Tight spaces with little manoeuvring space due to big metal poles everywhere. Huge scratch on my car because it was too long & wide to fit. Ground floor open spaces a better option

Though the staff on the whole were nice. The hotel bar was poorly stocked and the menu very limiting fir me as a coeliac and vegetarian - the only food I could eat was chips. My bathroom had no shower gel the entire time if my stay despite me raising this twice. I needed to keep my windows open as the room was too warm. The noise outside was constantly High as it was on a main busy road.

I experienced a great reception from the assistant manager. A real smile from a genuine person really picked up my time on the road. Thank you for all the recommendations on restaurants and walks. Your local knowledge was invaluable. See you again!
