Wolverhampton City Centre

5 minute walk into city centre. Hotel is built around the old Wolverhampton lower train station. Around the hotel is a table table restaurant, private apar**ents, a banqueting hall and an Aldi. Standard stay at a premier inn. Room is clean with air con. Bathroom ok. Wi-Fi bit patchy in the room. Table table good for food and drinks. Premier inn hot breakfast is not self service. You order what you want and it is delivered to your table. Staff are great especially the breakfast staff and Tracey and Ellen who all work very hard.

Me and my partner stayed here recently (Wednesday 22nd may) for a local concert. Upon arriving we were greeted by a semi modern building not far from other premier inns I've stayed at in the past. Upon entering we were greeted by the staff who were friendly enough to make us feel welcome. Unfortunately that was the highlight of our stay. Once we got to our room that's where it all fell apart. Inside was one of the least modern rooms you'd expect from a premier a cold lifeless room with a disgusting musty smell. Upon further expectation around the room I had found stains on the walls as if bodily fluids had hit them and not properly cleaned up, a giant red stain on the carpet to the left of the bed, the media hub which allows guests to connect devices to the tv was coming out of the wall as if someone has tried to pull it out which concerns me due to potentially being an electrical fire hazard and lastly there was mold and dirt around the window. Due to the nature of our stay we had to basically be in and out to then get food before our concert so we were unable to raise the issues with member of staff and even when I went to check out there were no staff behind the counter so we decided just to depart to get our train back home. I'd expect paying over £100 for one night my room to at least be clean and not smell of an attic. I would highly reccomend staying anywhere else if you're staying in wolves.

Very well situated, and near the railway station, but it is an awkward trek around, under a bridge, and through a car park. Rooms clean, but floors creak, bulb missing from bathroom, no telephones or ironing board in room. Yet SO glad that they have anti-slam doors. Cigarette buds littered everywhere around entrance to reception. Jane B in reception very pleasant and nice. Other guests seem a bit common, but it is the Midlands.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Reception staff were able to provide an earlier check in which made our trip much easier as were meeting friends for lunch and we were able to check in first and enjoy the afternoon. The staff offered to recommend places to eat and drink too which was a new experience by comparison to other Premier inns. The hotel is in good condition with wear in places but nothing that would concern a visitor. The outside space is a bit tired in places but that did not impact the stay. Parking is cheap and secure for 24 hours it’s only £3. The location is excellent for the train station and nearby to the best pub in Wolverhampton (The Great Western). The city with bars, shops and restaurants is only a few minutes walk away.

Great customer service given by front reception allowing us to come earlier than expected. 5 star service. The room was fresh and clean ready for us to relax after a long journey from the ends of London. We always love the comfiness of the premier inn beds and pillows.

Good neat and tidy hotel, staff very friendly and had great nights sleep. Very close to the station albeit directions via maps take you the long way round

Very expensive for this type of hotel, no tea or coffee in the room. We should have found a better hotel for the price we paid.

Very close to city centre, just five mins walk, and ten mins from Molineux stadium which was the purpose of our visit. (3-1, COYP!) The free wifi wasn’t great so had to upgrade for a fiver as had planned to stream another match. That was better, but still a bit laggy. Breakfast also good quality and cooked fresh to order. Coffee not the best out the machine but it served its purpose. Staff friendly and answered all our questions with a smile.

Room was freezing cold when we arrived the heating did not work in the room. The control panel for the heating practically fell off in your hand. The buttons were all damaged. Room required repairs non of which were carried out during our stay. We were provided with a heater for the room. This room should be repaired before being used again.
