I accidentally booked this hotel, and it was all a surprise. The room was spacious, clean and tidy, and it was especially quiet at night. Breakfast was actually a la carte, with both Chinese and Western food. It was delicious and the girl at the front desk was very attentive. I will definitely go there again if I have the chance.

Changyu Hotel is really a great experience, because we have come to Xishuangbanna for a while during the New Year, we chose to live in Pu'er and rent a car to Xishuangbanna to play and accidentally see this hotel. I pushed this hotel to be cost-effective and forgot to take pictures of the hotel. The bed in the room was very clean and comfortable. Hope to continue or do better. If the price is always cost-effective, I will definitely choose this hotel in Pu'er.

#Location Traffic location is located outside Pu'er, with the mountains and the wetlands, and the natural environment is very good. Suitable for self-driving friends. It takes only a few minutes to get up in the morning and walk to the wetland, you can take an hour, suitable for friends who practice in the morning. If you like to hike, it is not bad to walk to Meizi Lake Park, about 5 kilometers. The homestay has its own barbecue and restaurant, so you can eat and drink worry-free. There is a commercial street nearby, although there are not many shops. Of course, Pu'er has a single diet. If you want to eat better, you have to go to the city and drive for ten minutes. #Service several bosses are very good. Mr. Qiao is a Beijinger, warm and talkative, loves cross-country, and likes to group cross-country. The female boss is a Hani ethnic group, very very enthusiastic, you can chat if you have nothing to do, and experience their tea culture here. #Health room log wind, clean and tidy. The only drawback is that the wet and dry are not separated, and it will be a bit slippery to go to the bathroom after taking a shower. #Parking yard is very large, you can park ten cars, and you can park 4,5 cars outside the yard. On weekends, there are many parking spaces. #Room view room has good lighting, and you can drink tea in the room in the afternoon. PS: There is a hidden place to relax and drink tea. The roof terrace is very comfortable to watch the tea mountain behind the sun. You must ask the boss when you come here, and we only know it in the morning when we leave. In fact, Pu'er is not big, and there are very few good tea room cafes in the city. The only good store is still 40 kilometers away from the ancient town of Kory, called Changting. So you must go to the roof to experience it when you live here. The farmer's mother tea in the boss's house is very delicious.

When I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made. The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car. When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff. The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion. This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time! One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay. Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

The hotel is very cool and the location, set in the park is beautiful. There was a bug problem though as everyday we would find some new friends including ants, beetles, and a cockroach. The room we had also had a bad black mold problem. Upkeep is needed.

The windows of the twin room are very high, so the lighting is slightly worse. Sound insulation is also unsatisfactory. The sound of drainage in the bathroom sewer in other rooms can be heard. But the bedding is ok and the sleep is very comfortable. Breakfast is very general, the variety is small. Eat a bowl of rice noodles, nothing else to eat.

More pleasant accommodation experience, the boss is very good, the house facilities are great, the bed is very comfortable, the rare thing is that the quilt is a duvet. The whole is also very clean and the yard is very beautiful. The proprietress's cooking skills are good, and the fish is delicious. I will have the opportunity to go to Pu'er in the future and stay again. I hope that the hot water problem can be solved.

The B&B is located in a community in Pu'er. The location is pretty easy to find. When I came in, I found that it was unique. It was designed in Japanese style and every small detail was taken care of. You need slippers to enter the hotel. The tatami is very clean. The owner built a landscape on the third floor and also left a tea room. , the bedding is very clean and comfortable, and the owner's details can be seen in many small corners, which is worth experiencing.

I read online reviews saying that it is an old hotel, but I stayed in it after struggling. It is true that the hotel is relatively old, but as a four-star hotel, you can still feel traces of its past glory from the entire structural space of the hotel. It should be said that at the same price, it is still cost-effective in terms of service and basic configuration. Bottled water, fruits, and candies that are placed in the public space on the floor for guests to use at any time, the fruit plate delivered to the room at night (although there are only a few fruits, but they are also washed and wrapped in plastic wrap), and the variety of buffet breakfast , It can be seen that there are still certain service standards. Of course, there are also shortcomings: the room is small, and the water in the shower is not smooth.
