En visite pour découvrir les plages du débarquement, nous avons été accueillis avec professionnalisme, et avec une note d'humour et de bienveillance. Suite à soucis indépendant du personnel de l’hôtel (un client récalcitrant à un hôtel non fumeur), La réaction fut immédiate. Merci à Maxime (selon les sources) pour la résolution du problème, rapidement et avec amabilité. Franchement le personnel est au top. Merci à l'équipe . Le petit dej' est bien. Les chambres sont bien tenues et spacieuses. Bien situé également pour accéder aux plages de la manche et du Cotentin. Merci à toute l'équipe !

My friend and I are traveling around France for a couple of weeks. We picked this hotel based on reviews and price. It was a good location to drive to Omaha Beach and the surrounding area. We each had a room with a king size bed, a very large bathroom with a wonderful shower and separate large tub. Free Coffee, tea and water provided in the room and a small refrigerator with snacks and drinks available at a modest price. Beds were very comfortable and room temp was great. Very quiet location and free parking. The best thing was Julia, the front desk staff person. Extraordinary service and assistance with everything we needed including ordering Thai food from a local restaurant because the restaurant was closed on Sunday night and Monday night, the two nights we were there. She deserves a GIANT Thank You and a Gold Star! I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to France.

After reading so many good reviews I was very disappointed with this hotel especially the restaurant, apparently the restaurant is separate to the hotel, it’s only open in the evening and the gentleman that runs it is not very helpful at all, he doesn’t care about the hotel guests he’s more interested in the coach parties that arrive and take over the restaurant, leaving guests to fend for themselves no communication either from the hotel staff, shocking way to behave when running a business.

GGuest UserRoom and bathroom are very clean. Breakfast was nice. Staff is very friendly. It's a good idea to reserve a parking space and it's in the underground parking at the ****** not far from the hotel. Was disappointed we did not get the room in the main building. Had stayed in same hotel but in main building twice and enjoyed the stay so much that we decided to come back but this time the experience is different. Room is clean but small. WiFi is not working at all. TV is not working at all, alot of statics. No aircon or fan since it's very warm when we were there.

EEMMAGYPSY123My boyfriend and I just finished a two day weekend at this hotel. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. They also offered me some gluten free options for breakfast which was great. We ate dinner from the hotel one night, which was delivered to our door. The other night we had bought seafood-the staff kindly let us put it in their fridge, offered us plates, cutlery and glasses. The massage we had for 1 hour was extremely relaxing, there was a wonderful ambience created by the two masseuses. They were extremely professional and made us feel very comfortable. They also tried very hard to speak English with me, which I really appreciated. Thank you! Yes the dinner and breakfast is a little bit pricey for what you actually get, but we had a wonderful experience overall.

GGuest UserMy friend and I are traveling around France for a couple of weeks. We picked this hotel based on reviews and price. It was a good location to drive to Omaha Beach and the surrounding area. We each had a room with a king size bed, a very large bathroom with a wonderful shower and separate large tub. Free Coffee, tea and water provided in the room and a small refrigerator with snacks and drinks available at a modest price. Beds were very comfortable and room temp was great. Very quiet location and free parking. The best thing was Julia, the front desk staff person. Extraordinary service and assistance with everything we needed including ordering Thai food from a local restaurant because the restaurant was closed on Sunday night and Monday night, the two nights we were there. She deserves a GIANT Thank You and a Gold Star! I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to France.

We first saw Bellefontaine on a touching movie ”A Foreign Field” that was created for the 50th anniversary of the debarquement, and filmed partly at the château. There was always the possibility that it might be a disappointment, but I am happy to say it wasn't. This hotel is a little gem, situated just 15 minutes walk from Bayeux centre, yet quiet and remote, a peaceful haven. The welcome was near perfect. Our room was not quite ready, so we were seated on the terrace and supplied with a drink each, a speciality of the hotel. Soon we were shown to our room which was splendid. Elegant, spacious, well furnished and scrupulously clean. Over two days we loved every minute. The staff deserve particular mention, both in reception and in the restaurant we were made to feel special guests. Should we ever visit Bayeux again, and we well might, we would consider nowhere else. Bellefontaine would be our home.

There is free parking in the streets near the hotel - the receptionist showed us on the map when we dropped off our luggage. There is parking at the hotel for a fee, 12 euros per day, but when we arrived it was full

GGuest UserThis hotel was brilliant in every way - and good value for money too. Don't be put off by the eccentric exterior, because once inside you're greeted by friendly front office staff and in no time are in your well-appointed moderately-sized room. Plenty of off-street parking as well.
The hotel has a well-stocked bar at reasonable prices and an excellent restaurant serving some of the best pizzas and hamburgers in Normandy.
Highly recommended.

My son booked 2 rooms 1 superior room and 1 double. Arrived could not get in. Finally someone opened the door, then we found envelopes with keys left on the side. Not a great start. Went up to the room and the room next to us had at least 12 people in shouting and screaming, however onwards in to the room. The smell as we entered was of urine, it stunk, the toilet was leaking, the balcony was disgusting and also stunk of urine. The arguing next door was getting worse, I opened the door and there was 2 men fighting, it was now feeling very unsafe we decided to just leave. It actually looked like a immigration centre , there were cars in the car park with various men in who were clearly selling stuff by the amount of people coming out of the immigration centre to go to them. Not a safe feeling for my family. The photos on the internet have clearly been photo shopped as they don’t give a true reflection of the actual rooms. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Booked another hotel in Caen the Ibis at an extra cost of £350.00 but what the hell, at least we was safe

I found this to be a really nice hotel. As it is rated 1 star, my expectations were ”low” and this establishment exceeded them fully. We checked in when the front desk was staffed so had no problems. Our room was small, but clean and contained everything necessary for a good, nights sleep. It is also a short walk from the cathedral and the main Bayeux sights. Free parking was also an added benefit.

TTuminI think that the hotel is in a great location, however the surrounding area is very loud and not too great. The street side area is a bit creepy at night with a lot of men just hanging out outside the hotel door area. We actually got locked out of our room and they gave us a new key without any request to show any identification... which was a bit strange. The check in was fast, and it is a good deal for the price. You get what you pay for.
