We stayed here for two nights and upgraded to one of their rooms with a four poster. Room was eight at the front of the main building above the bar. Despite this there was no noise from the bar or the road. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We ate in the restaurant for Sunday lunch and the Roast dinner was well prepared and tasty. The only negative was that we ordered a bottle of Chablis, which is very reasonably priced and it was brought over to the table opened, this is a no no, should always be opened in front of the customer. The breakfast was good with excellent sausages and all the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall would stay again, however wasn’t that impressed with the town of Yeovil.

Best stay ever! Arranged to meet a close friend at a half way point for us for a sleepover catch up in a twin room. Jokingly asked for “something to make us smile as we have had a tough time lately ” as my guest request and the manager outdid herself! Chocolate treats, muffins and a game of swear snap! We had the best time catching up, giggling over wine and a takeaway and playing swear snap. Just brilliant and made our stay extra special. Room super clean and cosy and fridge and microwave a bonus. We curled up on the sofa and gossiped away. Nice touch having face flannel and nice toiletries and hot choc available too. Breakfast was lovely and the lady serving it was so nice. Absolutely lovely stay and we will be back!

Great Village pub feel, inviting Bar, Lounge area and a very smart Restaurant. Great Food, plenty of choices. Fantastic Staff, especially little Zoe, who just never stops, bless her. Young Josh was very good too, just starting out in life, we're sure he'll go a long way. Good Luck Josh. Clive/Cliff who waited on us on Saturday evening is also very efficient and professional. The staff on the Sunday night wasn't very good at making liqueur coffees, feel more training might be needed in that department. The only negative my Husband had was at the time we were there, the 3 draft ales were all the amber range, even the guest ale, would have preferred a golden ale option. No complaints whatsoever about the food, everything we ordered was presented beautifully and tasted gorgeous. 😋 The room we stayed in (14) was front facing, so had a lovely view of the church and village. Room was a good size (not massive/not small) comfortable, serviceable, clean, comfy and cosy. Luckily, they have separate rooms that are dog friendly, so we could thankfully book a pet free room. A few parking spaces round the back, if you get there quick enough. The pub is perfectly situated as a base for visiting many Somerset Attractions. We will definitely be back. We had a wonderful stay. Hotel room was fairly new and spotlessly clean. Good size room with a fridge, and everything you needed. Breakfast was delicious, hot selection lcooked fresh to order, tastes much better and no waste. Good selection of continental foods. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We didn't eat in the hotel but restaurant looked nice. There is a pub across the road that was welcoming and good food, and prices. The gym is small but well equipped. We hope to come back sometime

We went with our family for meal out and because they had ribs on the menu as my partner wanted these for a meal. We had starters which were presented very nicely however my sister and I shared halloumi fries with sweet chilli sauce which were very greasy. The ribs both partners had were clearly the shop prepacked ribs you can purchase is Lidl and not good value at all. My sister and I both had the spinach,chick pea and potato curry, this was awful. No taste and so hot spice wise I couldn't eat it.. The bar manager was kind enough to knock the two curries off the bill as we didn't eat it. I would say bog standard food for high prices! In all honesty we wouldn't go back again.

Booked & checked in online which was very easy but to check in online you will need your drivers license or passport information so have this to hand. On arrival I found the staff very friendly and helpful and got shown to the room quickly and efficiently. They had 3 really good well kept real ales and a variety of really good lagers and ciders. Everything was spotlessly clean the food was excellent what more cld you ask with really friendly staff with a warm greeting
