GGuest UserI booked this Aparthotel for my Dad and it was brilliant. Fantastic attention to detail and very clean. The only thing I’d say can be better is customer service. We had to wait a long time before getting the key although booking in advance. As a world traveler, this gap was very notable and one that can be easily addressed. It’s however a great place to stay.

SSimon MThis is a really nice little hotel, well located. The room I had was a lovely suite with effective air conditioning to counter the humidity and plenty of space. a couple of small oddities such as no plus on the kitchen surface which means the kettle or coffee machine needs to be put on the floor to use them and the smoking area right outside the door but otherwise I was really happy with it and also found the small restaurant perfectly sufficient. Only when checking out did it all go wrong, the day prior to checking out I had requested an airport transfer and the lady at reception had confirmed this was booked and had written it down. I had once again asked the lady behind the counter on the check out day to confirm it was booked and she confirmed it was. I was therefore rather surprised, as I waited outside the reception with my case, ready to be picked up, for the porter to come out and ask whether i would prefer top wait an hour, which I did not. he went inside, returning after a few minutes and said there was no car available. I went inside and explained once again that i had booked a transfer and had it confirmed. Another lady appeared and said no booking had been made and perhaps I should get an uber. Eventually the porter was asked to drive me to the airport once I had lost my patience. This evident mess up could easily have been rectified by a simple apology and what transpired to be the eventual solution but no such apology came, indeed the attitude was disdainful and rude. Because of this I only give it two stars and won’t return, a little bit of customer service goes a long way.

GGuest UserI stayed in one of the rooms which was clean, had AC, light and running water. Wifi works throughout the whole area. The food was a very positive surprise - the reasonably priced vegetarian avocado sandwiches and wraps were so tasty that I ordered a second round. The breakfast was also nice, if not large it contained bread with several types of jam, several tropical fruits and some smoothie which was sufficient to stay the day. There is a fridge where one can put some food/drinks subject to space and they have clean tap water in the sink. The pool works fine but is somewhat small and more to cool yourself than to swim. Staff is very nice and the area is safe with gated walls. Most balconies are on the street side and there is some sound but not more than one should expect when living in a bigger city. The location is close to the airport and reasonably close to the city center although not on walking distance to the main sights. There are many backpackers and travelers staying at the site making it a good hub if you are interested in connect with others for travel. All in all this seems to be one of the better options for those seeking hostel type stays in Accra.

PPaul SWe returned to Accra from other parts of Ghana for one night prior to flying home. We stayed at Frankie's because our previous hotel (Urbano) was booked. Many of the things I noted in the review of Urbano apply to Frankie's - well located on Oxford Road. The room at Frankie's was the largest we had in Accra. Also the wi-fi was the best we had. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is no elevator in the hotel. The entrance is up a flight of stairs from the street -- this makes it probably a bit quieter than Urbano though less accessible for some. The breakfast is served in the restaurant in the hotel. It is included with the room. It is not a buffet; one selects from a menu. Nonetheless it was very good. We were very pleased with Frankie's

LLorna BaptisteThis Best Western Plus Accra Beach Hotel's location has been my ideal spot away from the buzz of the city for several visits now. They offer great food, drinks, clean rooms and EXCEPTIONAL service. First FOOD. The breakfast is delicious and offers local dishes. Staff is personable and REMEMBER guest likes and dislikes. Two, DRINKS! Bartenders make a show of mixing drinks. However, this may be the reason that the bar can get busy at times and guests can be OVERLOOKED. This is the only time I have experienced anything negative during my stay. When this occurred, it did not go unnoticed by one of the Food and Beverage staff members. This brings me to focus on EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE and PROFESSIONALISM. A gentleman, Mr. Prosper, who is part of the Food and Beverage Team, quickly apologized for the incident and made sure to being it to the attention of the staffers who were in training at the time. The young staffer who had overlooked me at the bar, even located my room to offer personal apologies. Outside of that, the site is well cared for and the rooms have amazing views of the ocean, or the pool side area. Families will also enjoy a stay or even a day at this FRIENDLY location.

GGuest UserI don't at all understand the negative, mixed reviews - I had an excellent stay at Airside Hotel! Here is a detailed review of my one night stay. The location of the hotel is nearby the International airport (5-10 minute drive), which was perfect for me as I was arriving in the evening and departing again in the morning. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle, in both directions, making transit a breeze! The driver was on time and exactly in the stated pick-up point! I was grateful of this service! The airport drop-off the next morning was equally smooth. Staff here are so incredibly welcoming, kind and accommodating. They are extremely responsive to emails, and wanted to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Cynthia and Joyce were a true pleasure to correspond with! I really enjoyed interacting with the staff here. True Ghanian hospitality! The room was large and extremely spacious. Great layout! The room came furnished with a mini fridge, a writing desk, a desk lamp, two bed side tables, a large chair, an electric kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. Other amenities included a bottle of water! Wifi is password protected and the signal is extremely strong in the room and throughout the hotel. Air conditioning in the room was excellent - very good airflow! Also, there were many electrical sockets throughout the room, in good working order, to charge your devices. They were International sockets, so they had inputs for UK, North America and also Europe. The bed was very very comfortable. The bedding was clearly new - a big down comforter with 4 pillows of perfect firmness! I had a wonderful sleep! The bathroom also has been renovated. The toilet was new, and the bathroom came with a large shower/bathtub. I was pleasantly surprised at the amenities offered at this hotel, including a large bath robe, a bath towel, Kleenex, a hand towel, a bar of soap, hand soap, shampoo, body lotion, and a shower cap. I didn't expect this level of amenities for this price point, but I was very happy and appreciative! They really served to make my stay more comfortable! The shower was hot and the water pressure was good enough to do the trick! My only sore spot would be the bathroom sink, mostly just the layout. The tap sits directly under a glass shelf, and so it's really difficult to raise the tap to get water. Lighting in the room was good throughout, and there were many windows in the room, with big screens. There was no mosquito net, but I didn't notice any mosquitos in the room anyway, so this wasn't a problem for me! Breakfast starts early at 6:30am, which is great for transiting passengers! It was nice to refuel before another flight! On offer was coffee, tea, juices, water, yogurt, fresh cut fruits and vegetables, whole apples and bananas, breads with an assortment of jams and spreads, cold cereals with milk, hot dishes including beans, sausages, sautéed vegetables, what looked like bacon to me, little quiches, fried eggs, and boiled egg
