Nice hotel, excellent breakfast and dinner. Sun beds and umbrellas on the beach for a fee

Great location, friendly staff on the whole. Food had was the buffet breakfast. Fresh omelettes if required. Plenty to choose from otherwise. Cooked, continental, cereal, all perfectly adequate. Restaurant does get busy but if timed well no issues. Sister hotels in close locality to use pool, recreational areas etc. Very close to the beach. Elderly and those of poor mobility however please note the beach and access to other hotels is down and up lot of steps. Room service, perfect every day. Our only points would be that the hotel seems a little tired and maybe in need of a touch up in certain areas. Our room as an example had evidence of a resolved damp / leak issue. Stained, flaking painted walls. Lift in our block broke down on day 5 but no mobility issues so not a major concern for us but could have been for those less mobile. Only other thing to be aware of is that for some reason the hot water seems to be turned off mid afternoon, possibly overnight too. We showered late afternoon most days after the beach and it was cold. Similar on departure day, getting up very early to a cold shower. Not ideal before travelling. All in all though a great budget stay. Travellers note the hotel and in fact general area, seems pretty focussed on our German colleagues.

The hotel is located in a nice, reasonably quiet place just above strand. Nearly on the border between Brela and Baska Voda. It should be noted that seawater in Brela is much cleaner than other Croatian resorts we stayed before (Opatia, Trogir). The hotel itself is quite good (it was our second stay in it). The food quality (we ordered half-board) varied from good to excellent, the selection of dishes was next to enormous, plenty of fruits and desserts, including excellent pastries. And stock is constantly replenished - you may come 10 minutes before breakdast or dinner end time and found practcally complete selection. Last year things were slightly worse. As for the hotel cleaness things are a tad worse - generally speaking rhe hotel is clean, but when we arrived we found dust flakes on the floor of our room and drawers and shelves were as well dusty. On our request the room was cleaned, but rather nominally. That said on subsequent days (with a singke exception) the cleaning was done near perfectly. The hotel staff is very cooperatice and friendly the only problem is that some maids don't speak any language besides Croatian. Funny thing - there is some deficit of towels - sometimes they collect dirty towels but replace only some of them, the rest is brought in inseveral hours, when they came from laundry.

The hotel is fabulous, love the decoration of rooms and general areas.the staff from reception ,bar ,waitress,cooks and house keeping are really friendly,they are all very welcoming.The breakfast is superb and evening dinner is first class .we were on bed and breakfast but eaten in hotel restaurants on a few nights which was really good. The spa area is good but has a few issues which I am not pleased about which needs addressing,why being here they had 30% off spa but was not advertised,we only found out when we went to pay for a massage,when my wife paid for her predicure she was charged full price ,I complain about this to spa staff but it only apply to massages not anything else but I was told by one spa lady it was for everything then another it’s only on a Monday. So be careful the 30% is only massages but then I got court out ,I had a massage for one hour the they charge me the half hour rate twice €40 x 2 =€80 but other massages were €70 for an hour but were similar in treatments so if you are booking one hour go for €70 treatments ,so they made an extra €10 .oh yes you don’t get receipt for cash , but credit card you do.it looks like it’s going elsewhere. Now my other issue is Jacuzzi ,indoor pool area ,all the tiles are coming off in bottom and making the bottom sharp ,this is dangerous and should be closed someone is going to have a accident so be aware. The resort area is wonderful,the walks around bay and all restaurants. You must so the Waterfall trip ,it’s fabulous, book with hotel not Tui,it’s cheaper. Just one other thing that could be improved, a welcome drink would be nice on arrival after a long travel to get here but nothing .this is the first place in all my travels this has happened ,I was in Croatia last year and 5 years ago and we got drinks in both hotels but not here ,it just would be nice as a welcome to our hotel .very poor otherwise hotel first class.
