Stayed for 5 nights during my recent visit to Kollam. I've opted for Quilon Beach Hotel again as I've enjoyed my previous stay last year. However, the quality has deteriorated compared to last year. Rooms and associated infrastructure showed signs of ageing (AC and plumbing issues - was resolved promptly though) but at least were clean and comfortable. I believe the hotel is being refurbished as works were seen to be in progress on the upper floors. Hope rooms are returned to an improved state in the future. Buffet breakfast was impressive but I have to mention the service outside of main dining hours - a simple cup of coffee/tea/milk takes more than 45 minutes, in-room or restaurant dining. This was not the case last year and needs to improve immediately as it is very frustrating. Some of the staff looks to be inadequately trained and unable to understand basic English which warrants improvement as well. This hotel is definitely my choice whenever I visit Kollam but needs to improve significantly. Hope the hotel regains it's previous glory soon.

The stay was really comfortable and the rooms were very well maintained and modern. The food was also good here. If you are looking for a safe and cosy place that is not water front, this place will never let you down at-least from my experience. Suitable for family, couple, children etc.

I had booked this hotel for a short business trip, and the reason for doing so was its location which is bang opposite the Ashatmudi lake. I arrived around 19 hours in the evening and was given a room on ground floor, this room was not having a proper view of the lake, the AC was old and not working nor was the intercom. I complained to the receptionist after which he upgraded me to a premium room. There was a huge difference between the earlier room and this premium room, which appears to be recently renovated. The food was tasty however could not eat the breakfast as had to leave early. On my return in the afternoon I was greeted by one senior lady staff who enquired about inconvenience caused earlier, and understood my concern, this to me is needed or else I could have made a negative impression of the staff. I also has sadhya at their roof top restuarant which was very tasty. The hotel can arrange a boat ride since they own one..Please ensure that you book the premium rooms

Very best service and unforgettable memories. Kindly try this hotel for a pleasant living. Hot water always available and daily mineral water was served. If you ask any service it was served within 10 minutes in 5 days of stay.

Visited Amazon lounge, were pretty much impressive with the service from the head bartender Midhun & his team . Here by couple of things need to mentioned for the management attention. BAR WELCOME SNAKS, were truely disappointed & a joke like a jung food combined with all the rotten vegetables and left over of fruits . Food menu wise have enough selection, taste wise & presentations were an average & over prized . Ambience wise, Amazon lounge were good for to relax . Thank you

5544vinodnStayed for 5 nights during my recent visit to Kollam. I've opted for Quilon Beach Hotel again as I've enjoyed my previous stay last year. However, the quality has deteriorated compared to last year. Rooms and associated infrastructure showed signs of ageing (AC and plumbing issues - was resolved promptly though) but at least were clean and comfortable. I believe the hotel is being refurbished as works were seen to be in progress on the upper floors. Hope rooms are returned to an improved state in the future. Buffet breakfast was impressive but I have to mention the service outside of main dining hours - a simple cup of coffee/tea/milk takes more than 45 minutes, in-room or restaurant dining. This was not the case last year and needs to improve immediately as it is very frustrating. Some of the staff looks to be inadequately trained and unable to understand basic English which warrants improvement as well. This hotel is definitely my choice whenever I visit Kollam but needs to improve significantly. Hope the hotel regains it's previous glory soon.

If you are looking for a safe and cosy place that is not water front, this place will never let you down at-least from my experience. Suitable for family, couple, children etc.

GGuest UserThe property is in a quiet and peaceful street only 1. 5 km from both the railway station and the ksrtc bus stand and can be easily located with the directions of the google map. Overall, the stay was good. The front desk personnels were friendly and very co-operative. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free. The room was spacious and clean. Cleanliness of the bathroom was good. I am not giving a 5-star rating to this otherwise nice property because of the following reasons: 1) the restaurant at the property was not functioning; 2) hot water was not available in the bathroom and the door latch of the bathroom was not working; 3) sufficient quantity of tea/coffee, sugar and milk powder sachets were not provided; and 4) got drinking water only after asking. Still, i recommend this property for a brief or overnight stay.
