Wonderful backpacker place in a renovated former sushi restaurant. Great infrastructure, very friendly management, some of them speak English. The restaurant is full of little details, western cooking, and they serve an interesting choice of craft beers and wine. It is located very close to the train station in a covered shopping street

This is a hotel with history and old-style style. The advantage is that the mother-in-law at the counter is very hospitable and smart. She uses an English translator to introduce the hotel and communicate with us. This is a traditional old-style Japanese hot spring hotel. There is a parking space for self-driving tours. , and it is convenient to go to nearby attractions in Dabu Jie. The breakfast is exquisite and delicious. The disadvantage is that the hotel is old, of course, older and does not have independent toilets and baths. It depends on what experience the guests want.

It is an inn that cannot be booked easily, but it was empty by chance, so I booked and stayed for one night. It is an inn with soba shop in the secret of nothing. The staff are very friendly and hospitality is high in a calm atmosphere inn. The room was very large because I chose two cherry blossom baths and pottery baths in the room, and I enjoyed two baths while looking at the magnificent view from the bath. What should be more characteristic is cooking. The meal is a meal in the dining room, but all of them are partitioned in a private room, and there is a Irori in each private room, and you can behave local dishes. The staff at the meal were also local, and I was very satisfied with the history and meals of the soya, and I was very satisfied with the fun and fun. It was the best luxury two days. It is a hot spring inn that I want to visit again.

I went to the public bath, but it was a feeling that the guests were able to use the hot water facilities of the foreign guests, and it was not a public bath in the hotel. Cosmetics were closed in the room and in the public bath. There is no place to relax after bathing. You can imagine public bath. The automatic entrance door to the public bath is broken, but it seems that it is not willing to repair. Only the quality of the spring is great, so it is really a pity. Dinner is also a party dish like amateur dish. Ayu sashimi is only ２ cut. Only white rice was delicious in a way to cook with individual Kama. Breakfast is also poor content, which doesn't seem to be a hotel. There is no person in charge of the waiter here, and only the trainee who cannot even replenish even if the cup is lost is placed. Even when checking out, the front desk is absent. You have to call it by bell. About, there is no hospitality spirit, cleaning and maintenance. It is better to specialize in day bathing.

I used it for two days a night on gold soil. There were few guests, whether it was influenced by the new corona, but I had a blissful time with the cleanliness of the room and the deliciousness of the dishes. We arrived at the hotel & was greeted by the staff so warmly as if we were their long lost relatives. The receptionist spoke perfect English during check in & voluntarily upgraded our room. I suppose they were informed that we were there to celebrate my birthday. The place was clean, the service was excellent & matching that of a 5 star hotel. Upon settling down, we went straight to the rotenburo, which is the outdoor onsen, a hot spring bath, that overlooked the mountain & nature. As the rotenburo was situated on the mountain top above the Ryoken, we had to take a cable car which was connected within the hotel in order to reach it. The kaiseki meal for dinner was sumptuous & uniquely Japanese of course. Every dish was explained in detail with much effort. The diners were also seated spaciously in the common dining hall with lots of privacy between them. We were also entertained by a lady staff who sang a Japanese folk song that created that atmosphere which complemented the authentic Japanese meal. It was a relaxing & wonderful Ryoken for us. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights. Unfortunately, we had to abort the stay as my mom had passed on the same night. The staff was so helpful to arrange for us a taxi to send us to the Kochi airport at 0300 hrs to catch the first flight back to Singapore where we came from. What was surprising was that the hotel even refunded us the one night room rate which we had paid but were unable to continue with the stay. We will highly recommend visitors to stay there if they are visiting that area. It is only an hour train ride from Kochi train station & to alight at Oboke station. There’s a direct bus from the Oboke station or you can call a cab which cost about ¥300 which will take about 20 min to arrive. A small and ingenious accommodation business travel, the service staff is very kind, breakfast is agreed in advance, one person, and hot food is provided according to the time, the equipment in the room seems to be fully updated and spacious, excellent value for money.
