This is a beautiful self contained apartment on 2 levels. Downstairs is a bathroom/shower and living area. Upstairs a bedroom with a small terrace. Access is by door code supplied by the owner or in our case Booking.com. Unfortunately guests in the other apartment had not been given the door code by their booking agent and did not speak English or Japanese. Fortunately we were able to phone the owner for them. Definitely a communication problem by their booking agent or a language issue by the owner. The apartment is very ''Japanese'' in the sense that the bed is only about 1 foot off the ground. The lounge was also low and uncomfortable and the dining table was so low that it could not be eaten off nor used for a computer. This was extremely annoying. There was also not a single chair in the apartment. Overall even though immaculate the apartment was poorly designed. The kitchen was huge but nowhere to sit and eat!! After we had booked we sought to contact the owners to extend our booking but they had no English language skills at all and we had a frustrating series of emails back which did not help. As we could not stay an extra night (it was festival weekend) we then needed to move to another hotel for a single night whereas we would have preferred to stay at ItoMori.

An incredible experience staying at Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Takayama Shirakawa Go! Very clean room, friendly staffs. Everything looked more enchanting with the winter snow, making our experience even more magical. We loved every moment and can't wait to return! Truly amazing!

I contacted my family in advance, and came to pick me up at the waiting area on the second floor of the JR station. The location of the cabin is very quiet in the middle of the mountain, and the facilities are reasonably arranged. Although the public bathroom is shared, it does not affect the use. Sitting by the fire in winter is warm and cozy. Five-course dinner, except for the slightly salty pasta, everything else is perfect. Western breakfast is also very hard. Because of the early departure, the hostess prepared for us alone twenty minutes in advance, and the full score was well deserved.

The city is very small, so any place I imagine is a good location, that is next to the train station. A summary of my hostel> bathrooms are extremely clean, good air conditioning of the place, organized place, a bit cold but courtyard service, very simple breakfast type self-service included in the price, comfortable bed, It's a good place to keep your things, sleep reasonable, because it's a bedroom, some people come late in the night making noise, but if you're with a tight budget, you're paying what you're paying, so I generally liked it.

Although we were a group of nine people, the place was so spacious that it didn't feel cramped at all. We were also very satisfied with the location, cleanliness, and facilities, as well as the access to the station and convenience stores. Highly recommended!

I stayed because it seemed to be good with word of mouth. I booked a new building cherry blossom mezzone room. It was good to be an infant fee for elementary school students and children's menu. The room was upgraded to a tatami mats on the first floor, 6 tatami mats on the second floor, and 10 tatami mats. The view from the room was good. Wi-Fi was fast. The hot springs were just a good temperature. In one day, there was a little change in temperature. The view was good, the smell was good, and it was a good hot spring. Dinner and breakfast were private rooms, and there was a toy for children to play. The dishes were delicious, such as ”Yakiniku ＆ shabu shabu”. The amount was moderate. The children's dishes were not available and the taste was good. Breakfast was available for either Japanese food or sandwiches. The sandwich is said to be a roast beef of HIDA beef, and I think it was better to have originality here. All the hot springs, dishes and rooms were good, and I was able to spend comfortably with a fine response. In addition, the whole building was non-smoking and comfortable.

We stayed two nights here and the owners were so accommodating, providing us with shuttle buses and making bookings where we needed. The breakfast was a traditional authentic fancy Japanese affair, and it was lovely. We felt that we were honoured guests rather than clients. Authentic Japanese onsen available, A fair way from the train Station, about 1,000 yen by Cab. Once there they did not hesitate to get the bus out and shuttle us around. Close to a laundromat as we needed to wash. A bit quirky, but well worth a visit.
