A hotel that I have already visited in 2019, what surprised me is that the prices are always the same, reasonable, a person for 160 to 200 dhs despite everything having been renovated, it's a jackpot. , bedrooms, plasma televisions. The receptionists are very welcoming. if you are looking for a jackpot hotel in Tangier, Astoria is the right place.

First I’ll start by saying that most of the concierge and staff were very nice. We started our stay by having lunch near the pool and it was absolutely inedible. We noticed right away that the “strong wifi” they claim to have is a lie and we had zero wifi for our entire trip. Our room was very warm and we were told that they had not turned on the AC yet and had no fan to offer us (a first since every other hotel around italy had provided us with one) and suggested we just open our patio doors to cool down the room. Normally, this would not be a problem except the door open to the LOUDEST street you can imagine. We have an ocean view room but unbeknownst to us there is another hotel in front of ours (view is still good) but the road between is filled with trucks, slamming, beeping and every noise you can imagine that kept us up all night. Basically we had to choose between being unbelievably hot or trying to sleep through all of the noise. During the day the noise is also excessive. View on top of the hotel is unreal and the drinks were good, dinner was expensive and meh. Beach access was nice but be warmed it costs money to use (about 54 euros for 2 people).

Nice location close to Tangier Ville the ferry terminal. Walking distance to lots of attractions. Breakfast choice is huge, including all local stuff. Design of room with glass panel between bath and bed is odd as light could affect the other sleeping. Service is good and front desk been very helpful.

Going at the end of March, the hotel is located in the mountainous area on the outskirts of Tangier, Morocco, and the scenery is relatively good. But because it is Ramadan, there are not many basic guests, and the swimming pool is under maintenance. The buffet for $50 per person is relatively low cost, the food is not much and it is not added, the customer service staff basically does not understand English, and the communication is relatively difficult. Breakfast ordered a 200ml cup of orange juice, charged $12, a bit outrageous, of course, the room facilities reached the five-star standard. After leaving the hotel, I found that I had overcharged an inexplicable $250 and had asked the bank for a refund. The overall service level can be at the star level of 2-3. Not recommended, the price is too low.

The hotel service was very good. We took the high-speed train from Casablanca to Daniel. Contact the hotel car in advance to pick it up, very punctual. The hotel environment is great and the rooms are large. Breakfast is also rich and the overall experience is good. Note: The hotel is some distance from Tangier city area, but the hotel has a free shuttle bus to various attractions, as well as supermarkets and eating places. Still more convenient

The hotel is not in the city center but at the beach. The room size is very large. The service is good, but the price of the car charter is too expensive, and the euro is paid at the time of settlement, but the Dirham is deliberately changed. Others are fine.

I recently stayed at this wonderful 4-star hotel and had an exceptional experience. The check-in process was incredibly fast and efficient, setting the tone for a great stay. The hotel itself is beautifully modern and well-maintained. One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning terrace with a swimming pool. It provided a perfect place to relax and unwind. The chiringuito on the terrace was a fantastic addition, offering a great variety of both local and international food. Each meal was delicious and added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. I am already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended! Feel free to modify it according to your personal experience and preferences!

At reception meh… we arrived at 2:30 p.m.. BBM told me the room would be ready at 3 p.m. that we could go for a walk and that at 3 p.m. it would be ok and that they would come and pick us up but no one came… . To review …. Personally I won't go back there again

Hhicham abourouhSorry to say that we do not believe the hotel is up to its 5 star standard. It is a good hotel and the hotel does take care to look after it and make it enjoyable for people staying but if you are expecting 5 star quality it will let you down. In the room, inside the kettle, the coffee cup and the spoon were dirty (these hadn’t had a clean before us arriving), there was an awful sewage smell coming from the drain in the shower so bad that if we didn’t shut the bathroom door ah all times our room smelt revolting (this was room 336) I don’t know if it’s a general thing or just unlucky with the room. It felt like at times staff would favour people who have stayed at the hotel before (regulars) or people who had been staying there for a few days rather than welcoming new people. Finally, to top off our stay here, 5am we needed to leave for the airport, we asked the reception if he would kindly just call us a taxi, he told us this would be a charge of 250 DHR (we already knew this should have been no more than 150), we said no thank you walked into the street and got a taxi for 100 DHR. Very bad

GGuest UserWe really loved this hotel. It has so much character and charm. It has a great faded grandeur vibe (in a positive sense) with excellent facilities and the room was very spacious and clean. Staff helpful and friendly. The location was very good. Short walk to the beach/promenade/port and Kasbah. 30-50 dirhams in a taxi to/from the train station and the Medina in the other direction. We heard while on the City Tour bus that the hotel was a favourite haunt for the likes of Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac (although the same commentary also said Gaudi drew the first tentative plans of Sagrada Famila while staying there and yet the hotel's own website says it opened just the 24 years after he died!) Still, the place is full of history and a very interesting and cool place to stay. Unfortunately it was too cold to go in the pool while we were there (end of Feb) but it looked very nice. Really glad we chose this place, and would definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserL'hôtel que je recommande pour les voyageurs avec un petit budget sur Tanger.L'hotel est très propre et le petit déjeuner est délicieux.Staff très sympa franchement j'avais peur des commentaires concernant des vols. Mon séjour s'est très bien passé et on peut laisser argent et papiers a la réception. L'hôtel est à 10min en voiture de la marina. Le quartier est moins cher car résidentiels et une super boulangerie de paris a côté de l'hôtel. C'est un bon plan par rapport au prix sur la marina et on a 10% de réduction sur le spa et coiffure de l'hôtel. Voilà je conseil cette hôtel sans problème.

GGuest UserI was welcomed very friendly by Hotelmanager Omar el B. I got this beautiful room with panoramic view of Tangiers and at the other side the swimming Pool. He goes far for his guests and speaks fluent Arabic, French and English. The hotel is tot a Golden Tulip hotel anymore but the service is still great. As an example I needed a top-up prepaid card for my mobile internet services and the crew went out and bought it for me. Every time I come back from outside the doormen welcomes me and the manager is always waving at me. It’s the second time I stayed here with the same experience and in August I will come back again to this beautiful hotel with great staff, spa and swimming pool were you can chill in peace without the noice from a busy city.

GGuest UserHad 2 rooms for the hotel. Average room, rather old. Renovations are in progress thus maybe caused the lack of service, had to wait rather long while checking in and in comparison with other moroccan hotels, no welcome drinks or familiarisation was given. There was no rooftop access for any aerial view despite strategically located next to the wonderful beach and nearby all the main attractions of the city. Staffs were friendly though, facilities and maintenance fell short for that last star.

Amazing terrace Nice easy Place to reach close to the beach nice helpful staff room was nice you can value for the money you pay , and beware there is tax city to pay at the place (2 Euro) per person . Our experience with the restaurant in particular was not pleasant. Rude and unprofessional staff who didn’t keep their promises and were highly disorganized. We called 2 days prior to book a table for our whole family and explained that we wanted to celebrate dad’s birthday and bring a cake, ”no problem with that” - they said. However, when we were there, the restaurant was full and the lack of organization from the staff made it so difficult to be available. We had to wait for 20 to 30 minutes sometimes for a waiter to make a request. After finally finishing our meal I called multiple waiters for the cake surprise, which we had already given them at arrival. They kept promising to bring it but didn’t. My husband then had to go address the issue to the “head waiter“ but the latter ignored him and didn’t even give him a minute of his time. Later on, I called the same “head waiter“ and he responded with an unacceptable attitude blaming me for “giving him extra work“ and for not remembering to whom I gave the cake. By the time they “found” the cake - mind you there was only one other person celebrating their birthday- we were too tired and disappointed so we paid and left. Having worked at foodservice, I understand the pressure of working such a demanding job. However, being rude and blaming your client for your mistake cannot be tolerated. With organization and politeness, our experience might have been different and better with Chellah Restaurant. For now, I do not recommend and will not go back.
