Up to now, we have refrained from commenting on Tripadvisor (or in general on social media), but we feel that Milaidhoo and in particular its employees deserve that we break our habit. This has been our 8th visit since February 2017 (shortly after the opening). It is great to see how the resort has developed over time while maintaining its winning formula over all these years. The ingredients are: - a small island, beautifully maintained with very generously sized water and beach villas. These are maintained impeccably and do not show their age (noting that the weather is taking its toll on buildings); - great and caring employees, many of which are there since the opening, which makes returning there like visiting friends. Everyone would deserve a special mentioning, but we single out Celine (resort manager), Beyya, Ammadey (our butler for each of our stays), Dimu, Shippe, Alfie, Koko (all from Ocean), CR (boat team). - calm environment (no small children policy) - great house reef and proximity to Hanifaru Bay Improvements over the years have also been noticeable, applied with great care as not to change the in our view winning formula, so that you still feel at home when visiting again. One of the main improvements we noticed is the quality (and variety) of the food. It went from (very) good to excellent. We highly recommend engaging with your friendly waiters or the kitchen staff to explore what is beyond the menu (this time, we were treated for example to special variants of Mashuni and special Sri Lankan dishes). So, hats off to the entire team and thank you for - repeatedly - making our visits to Milaidhoo extremely pleasant and relaxing!

It was very troublesome to choose an island before. I chose Four Seasons through various comparisons. I read many reviews before and they were not from Ctrip, so it was difficult to get the information I needed. I would like to provide my experience for your reference. 1. Booking a meal package is definitely more cost-effective than ordering a la carte. One week before departure, be sure to remember to make an appointment with your hotel for pick-up and drop-off to the island. 4. If you plan to have three meals a day, don’t bring food to the island. Most people won’t be able to finish the set meals they provide. 5. There is a Chinese service. Generally, you can use WeChat to enter your requirements in Chinese. 6. Personally, I think there is no need to participate in sea activities. Just stay in the hotel and snorkel on the shore. 7. Regardless of whether it is the official website or Ctrip.com, as long as it is the same room type but cheaper, no matter it is a sunrise room or any description, as long as it is cheaper, the sea view will be blocked by the breakwater. 8. Don’t always live in a water house. The sand house is more convenient. The water house has a better sea view and snorkeling next to the beach is better. But if you are lucky when snorkeling in the water house, you can see the eagle ray. 9. There are only two restaurants for brunch, but there are more choices for dinner, and everything is delicious. 10. You may or may not give a tip for cleaning. If you want to tip, prepare a dollar or a dollar. You can decide how much you tip. 11. Entry is now visa-free, but you need to declare online 12. The service, environment and food are basically impeccable, but they must be receptive to foreign food. 13. Apart from being expensive, there is nothing wrong with it. If not, translation software will be enough. In conclusion, this island is not a trap, but it is a bit expensive. Booking in advance will be much cheaper.

We chose this hotel, the price/performance ratio is really good. After the trip, some people arranged for pick-up and drop-off, arranged for the inland plane and speedboat to arrive at the resort. After arriving at the fake village, the service staff sent a welcome to each person. We originally booked 5 I lived in a luxury villa in the evening. Fortunately, I can live in the water villa on the 4th night. The two villas have their own characteristics. The luxury villas can see the sunset, the water villas can see the sunrise, and everything is well arranged. The beach has white sand and the water is very blue. We cleaned the room twice a day. We booked a full breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was also served in the same main restaurant. The waiter was very polite. Every night there are different dishes and facilities. Enough, in addition to drinking water, only one bottle is supplied per room per day. The water in the hose is only filtered once and the salt is not completely filtered. Therefore, it is not suitable for drinking. To drink extra water, you should buy it at the restaurant or bar.

Snorkeling is great, the room is big, and the one-to-one butler service is super considerate

Absolute relaxation, unique location, beautiful nature (be prepared for mosquitoes) , wonderful and friendly staff and fantastic cuisine. That's what you can expect from your holiday in Dreamland. The rooms are comfy and spacious in both beach bungalows and water villas. The beach is just perfect and the snorcheling in the ocean is great fun. Loving every day of my stay here!
