Nice, modern hotel, and we had a very nice updated room with lovely views of the ocean and the Fort. Pretty good breakfast too. Free parking so you can walk about 10 minutes to get to the heart of the old town for shopping and restaurants. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only very small thing we didn’t love was that to get to our room on the 3rd floor we had to walk by the open door of the gym - typical gym smells emanating so wish they would have left the door to the gym closed. Other than that, a great stay!

The good: The hotel is less than 1 km from the historic center of Angra do Heroismo but has the bus stop to the center right in front ( the cost for one way ticket is 0,35 Euros) , buses come every 15 min. , the ride is about 10 min. It is right next to the public beach ”Zona balnear da Silveira”and overlooks the sea Excellent service (front desk, restaurant, spa etc) Has one outdoor and one indoor swimming pools. The bad: Facilities need a serious uplifting : it is generally clean but has the feel of the 80'. The outdoor swimming pool is filthy: even my kids didn't want to go in : bird poop at the rim, hairs and other debris floating in the water, mirky water etc. The one indoor is very clean , maybe because no-one use it? We ate at the buffet two straight nights and on the second night, you can see that left over from the night before was used ex : night #1 had a delicious sword fish dish and on the second night, we had fish pasta... exactly same appetizers for both nights etc... Overall, it was OK for our stop over on our returning trip... but I would stay elsewhere if I was to visit Terceira.

What a lovely hotel! It is found on the main square and stepping out into a UNESCO area each day is special. The hotel were very quick to add a topper to our hard bed - I wish I’d asked for one before our first night. The rooms on the 4th floor looking out onto the botanical gardens are quiet and it’s a great view - choose numbers 401-411 The AC works quietly and well and even though it was 27C outside one day our room cooled to a pleasant 22C and allowed us to have a break from the midday sun. They do give you a kettle but if you’d like coffee bring your own as they only provide teabags - not a problem but slightly unusual. Breakfast is a bit of a scrum but once you find your way around the dishes it’s ok. The dining room seems a bit functional to me and doesn’t suggest a 4* hotel - we decided it was not a place for us In the evenings. Swimming pool and gym both lovely and towels easily accessed. The terrace is very sunny and a pleasant place when it’s not quite so hot! Very happy here and can recommend it

I was offered a 'quiet' room to the back as by receptions own admission front rooms were noisy due to cobblestone roads. The room was directly over aircon system, generating a constant hum even with windows closed. The bathroom is badly designed, with tight toilet situation. Despite rooms appearing available on booking websites, reception stated I could not move for first two nights. I was told I would be moved further along corridor. On my lateish return, I was then allocated a room to the street - even noisier than before. In addition, despite the manger originally claiming all bathroom designs were the same, this turned out to be inaccurate as the room I was moved to had a well-designed bathroom. Basically, I feel I was just messed around by reception, creating stress and spoiling the last days of the holiday and for the above reasons would not recommend.

My partner and I stayed at the Angra Marina Hotel late November 2023. The Hotel was located in Angra Do Heroismo overlooking Mount Brazil and the harbor. IT was a perfect location for our walking adventures and we took in the beautiful city of Angra Do Heroismo enjoying the local beauty of the town, the cafes, shops and of course the wonderful Christmas lights displaying the festivities of what was to come later in the month The front desk staff were wonderful, accommodating and the hotel's comfort and restaurant and breakfasts were great and we began our day in the beautiful dining room and end of day the comforts of our very nice hotel room. We could not have found a better place for our stay in Terceira as we journeyed from there to Lisbon and Porto but retained the wonderful memories of or stay at the Angra Marina Hotel! IT was wonderful!

GGuest UserWhat a lovely hotel! It is found on the main square and stepping out into a UNESCO area each day is special. The hotel were very quick to add a topper to our hard bed - I wish I’d asked for one before our first night. The rooms on the 4th floor looking out onto the botanical gardens are quiet and it’s a great view - choose numbers 401-411 The AC works quietly and well and even though it was 27C outside one day our room cooled to a pleasant 22C and allowed us to have a break from the midday sun. They do give you a kettle but if you’d like coffee bring your own as they only provide teabags - not a problem but slightly unusual. Breakfast is a bit of a scrum but once you find your way around the dishes it’s ok. The dining room seems a bit functional to me and doesn’t suggest a 4* hotel - we decided it was not a place for us In the evenings. Swimming pool and gym both lovely and towels easily accessed. The terrace is very sunny and a pleasant place when it’s not quite so hot! Very happy here and can recommend it

GGuest UserThe good: The hotel is less than 1 km from the historic center of Angra do Heroismo but has the bus stop to the center right in front ( the cost for one way ticket is 0,35 Euros) , buses come every 15 min. , the ride is about 10 min. It is right next to the public beach ”Zona balnear da Silveira”and overlooks the sea Excellent service (front desk, restaurant, spa etc) Has one outdoor and one indoor swimming pools. The bad: Facilities need a serious uplifting : it is generally clean but has the feel of the 80'. The outdoor swimming pool is filthy: even my kids didn't want to go in : bird poop at the rim, hairs and other debris floating in the water, mirky water etc. The one indoor is very clean , maybe because no-one use it? We ate at the buffet two straight nights and on the second night, you can see that left over from the night before was used ex : night #1 had a delicious sword fish dish and on the second night, we had fish pasta... exactly same appetizers for both nights etc... Overall, it was OK for our stop over on our returning trip... but I would stay elsewhere if I was to visit Terceira.

GGuest UserLocation in heart of city can't be beat, at least not in mid price range: surrounded by shopping and restaurants. Front desk staff could not be nicer, always available and eager to help. A lady who works hard to keep breakfast food stocked, and there's a delicious cake/sweetbread on offer. Small but clean, efficient room, and I had a Juliet balcony overlooking Rua da Rosa; photo of town harbor as wall art. I had a nice sized bathroom and shower; a tripmate complained of a tiny, flooding shower, so maybe I was lucky. Would be nice to have a small area somewhere with a set of dumbbells just to keep in shape, especially with all the irresistible food around.

GGuest UserMy partner and I stayed at the Angra Marina Hotel late November 2023. The Hotel was located in Angra Do Heroismo overlooking Mount Brazil and the harbor. IT was a perfect location for our walking adventures and we took in the beautiful city of Angra Do Heroismo enjoying the local beauty of the town, the cafes, shops and of course the wonderful Christmas lights displaying the festivities of what was to come later in the month The front desk staff were wonderful, accommodating and the hotel's comfort and restaurant and breakfasts were great and we began our day in the beautiful dining room and end of day the comforts of our very nice hotel room. We could not have found a better place for our stay in Terceira as we journeyed from there to Lisbon and Porto but retained the wonderful memories of or stay at the Angra Marina Hotel! IT was wonderful!

GGuest UserEven though the hotel is 2 stars there are basic standards that even a 2 star hotel should have. For example, the toilet brush was disgustingly rotten and dirty (it costs 2€ to buy a new one). The showers had curtains that were also dirty and sticked to the body when we were having a shower. We do understand that the bathroom is from the 60s but we believe that even a bathroom from the 60s can be improved with the time. There was a sock under the bed which implies that the bedroom wasn’t clean. The air conditioner was broken and in an island extremely humid and in the middle of the summer, this is not very nice. The paper cups in the bathroom, that even though we understand they are planet friendly, were disgusting and could be replaced by glass ones instead. The breakfast was extremely poor. The instant coffee was very bad, there wasn’t any fruit and if you’re a person that doesn’t eat bread or sugary cereal there wasn’t any other option available. It has indeed an amazing location, but since the island is so small, any other hotel will do. Nevertheless, if you like camping this hotel is perfect.
