One of the best Boutique styled resorts I have stayed at anywhere. From the moment we arrived the front office staff and service were excellent and we were made to feel very much apart of the family. The food in the restaurant was excellent, the cocktails by their cute swimming pool were just perfect. The whole hotel has a very eco friendly and sustainable lifestyle vibe to it with lots of reclaimed woods and materials integrated into the simple yet pleasing interior design. A short 2 min walk sees you standing on the Beach overlooking on the most beautiful Vista's I have seen. A truly great experience. I highly recommend it.

GGuest UserOnly a short walk from Mookies to Farang Beach, a truly tropical paradise....The bungalows at Mookies were excellent, clean and very comfortable beds. The fridge is a very nice touch. The food was quick and fast and very tasty. Of course you have other restaurants nearby if you can possibly tire of Wan and her crews offering. GGuest UserPROS: - Location, amazing beaches and crystal clear waters (as others have stated) - super friendly staff - Resort is the best location on the island as it is far away from day tourists - food (lunch/dinner) is excellent and def better than at the other resorts - garden/landscape very well maintained (other resorts on the island look very “natural”) - few minutes to walk over to a beach to watch the sunset (although leaving the hotel you will see A LOT of garbage unfortunately) - not many people on the whole island which is hard to find nowadays in Thailand CONS: - bungalows (houses) pretty basic, new AC but could do with a little bit of maintenance (painting, drains…). Beds are very hard! - staff was unable to get us a boat within 5 days for a fishing trip, “agent has only one boat and cannot get”, well then get another agent or add another one. Went next door to Reef resort and booked a trip instantly - breakfast is (still) a disaster, very chaotic (seems to have been mentioned in previous reviews). Choice is limited but ok, but please just assign 1 more staff who knows what to do! dirty dishes, it takes forever until food/drinks are restocked…running out of basically everything…so you need to be patient and/or keep expectations low. - Food supply: for several days, only half of the menu was available…so better check before you sit down. but as mentioned above, food is great (Thai, western) - cocktails take forever, once again, be patient Overall, it was ok but given the hefty price (10.000 THB per night high season) you would expect more. You definitely pay for the location!

GGuest UserWe were going to stay here for 5 nights, but the first night was not available, so a little bit at the resort, and there was a room of less quality than we had booked, but we received a lot of money back. The houses were fine, located in a large garden that was well maintained. In the garden you could also be massaged, was delicious and very good! No breakfast was served but coffee was served, so we bought a stock of cookies. You've got to walk a quarter of the forest for lunch and dinner, and you came out at Fisherman's Kitchen, a excellent and cheap restaurant, and the evening we went to a kind of bar for non-Muslims. You could also take cold beer to the bungalows. The resort is remote and only suitable if you rent a bromstube at the resort to go over the island, then you have all freedom. You can also book a private tour to visit the whole island or book a boat for a dugong tour. A walk across the backland is also a recommendation. In fact you have enough 3 to 4 nights here. The staff is very helpful. A storm did not allow you to travel to a next island, but there was an excellent alternative to the mainland: 5 different means of transport were connected by minute on the next track.

MmonchangchaiThe room was a bit dated and it was simple but it had all that you needed. Loved the outside seating area and just enjoying the surroundings. It was a shame the garden hasn’t been kept nicely as we went during low season and understand that the property wasn’t opened last year due to covid, but there’s definitely potential for it to be great at better times. The beach front was only suitable for swimming in the morning because of the tides but the sand was white and enjoyed the peaceful location. Overall this resort is ideal as the location was good and had lots of food options nearby (as the restaurant here wasn’t opened).
