CCompass19732002665I spent one night here after a long flight and absolutely loved my stay. The hotel was easy to find and there are a lot of amenities in the area. All the staff I interacted with were all attentive, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to interact with me. My check-in was very quick. I requested a quiet room, as I am a light sleeper, and was given a very quiet room. My room was fantastic. It was spotlessly clean, everything in the room worked as expected, and it was very spacious. I used the pool during my stay. There were lots of towels, the pool area was well maintained, and the water was a very nice temperature. I slept like a baby. The only downside to my stay was the gigantic chair in the bedroom. I got up in the night to use the restroom and tripped right over it. LOL! I guess I could have slept on the other side of the bed, but where is the fun in that? All-in-all, I had a great stay and highly recommend this hotel for anyone that needs a clean and quiet place to stay.

GGuest UserI've stayed in several Super 8's, so I don't expect much, but THIS one was the best! (and never thought I'd give a Super 8 a 5 star, but here we are) I was pleasantly shocked to find such a nice property, friendly staff and nice location. I stayed here with my friend and two dogs for 2 nights — we booked a two bed room and asked for bottom floor. Check in was super fast, smooth and the Staff was great. They appeared to take pride in their hotel and were very helpful. The property overall is in a decent location close to a few restaurants and if you drive a little, close to everything. The grounds were very clean, well kept and had a HUGE clean field behind the hotel to walk the dogs. The room was very clean and felt modern with all furniture in decent condition. It was very well lit and airy feeling. The room was big enough for the 2 adults and 2 dogs and all our stuff. The beds were comfortable enough, maybe just a little firm with a few layers of linens. Everything was in great working order including the AC and Wifi worked pretty well with our devices. The bathroom was also just as clean with plenty of towels and the basic toiletries. There wasn't a lot of counter space in the bathroom but we made do. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked with a variety of items, not just breads and muffins. Everytime we saw the Staff they were always friendly and helpful. At times, we forgot we were at a Super 8 as it felt more like a nice Holiday Inn. Best of all, it was very quiet and we both felt quite safe at this hotel. Next time I'm in the Toledo area for a few nights, I'm coming here and have already recommended it to my friends!

While the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel had some serious issues. The first day, we realized that one of the tvs didn’t work. We mentioned it to staff and they said we could switch rooms, but we had already unpacked with the baby and it was going to be a lot to switch, so we stayed. Then we saw that in the bathroom, the toilet paper was stained and there was clear water damage above the shower. It didn’t seem unsafe, however, and everything was usable, so we made do. Problems got worse the second day. We went to shower and not only were there no washcloths and towels that were far smaller than standard, but there didn’t seem to be enough water pressure to work the shower. I was able to make it work once earlier in the day, but it did not work at all later in the day or the following morning. By this point, we were told we could not switch rooms. Final issue was the pool. When we tried to take our son down the first time, it was closed for cleaning. Not a big deal; it has to happen. There wasn’t a notice or sign or anything to warn us though, so between getting ready, figuring out what was happening, and getting back dressed, we lost a good chunk of time and had a very cranky toddler. The next morning, we went to try again and were told that the pool didn’t open til 9 despite the big sign saying that is opened at 6. Thankfully it was not too much beforehand and the staff let us in while they cleaned the pool deck. There was a layer of bubbly chemicals just sitting on top of the water, which had me concerned, but we rinsed off afterward in the small stream of water coming from the bathtub when we returned to the room and no one seemed to have a reaction. All in all, the hotel felt safe and staff was kind, but it was one little thing after another that resulted in way more complications than I needed in my trip and one very smelly husband who couldn’t clean off well in the little tub trickle. I would not recommend it unless you really just need a safe bed and some good breakfast.

GGuest UserAlthough I asked for a 2nd floor room when I booked I ended up with floor level room & they were all booked so it's all I could get. 2nd floor is better so you don't hear people walking around. The room was clean & offered all I needed for my 2 night stay including a fridge & microwave. I didn't like that the bathroom doesn't have towel bars to hang towels & all the linens are on shelves near the floor instead of up higher. I would definitely book here again in the future.

GGuest UserThe hallway and room carpets are stained black. The TV would not work. I tried everything possible to get a picture and the sound, including checking the wall cable connection, which was broken and hanging out of the wall, and the HDMI inputs. I attempted to phone the front desk only to find the phone not functioning, not even a cord attached. Safety violation. At that point, 10:30 pm, I figured what’s the point and went to sleep. At 02:30am I was woken by a horrible screeching noice. I figured it was the TV doing something or the AC unit. Neither one of these were the problem. After 3 minutes it stopped. I went back to sleep and again at 03:00am it started all over. This time the little.clock radio on the nightstand was the issue. The cord in the back was barely attached and when you moved it it would screech, loudly. Fire hazard. When morning finally arrived I wanted to just shower and leave. Well, that was not pleasant either. The tub backed up so there I stood in nasty calf deep water. I should have guessed that was going to happen when I watched the water drain slow before I got in. After quickly finishing, I was drying off and noticed a peanut butter like substance splattered on the side of the vanity. I quickly threw on clean clothes, packed my stuff and left. Yes, I could have gone to the front desk and told them all about it. However, the front desk clerks can’t refund your money or even fix those problems, and just don’t care. With that being said, I did leave a complaint with the corporate office and I’ll even call them. I’m also not checking into this hotel again. I gave up a non refundable night, $1110.00, to stay else where. You may check into this hotel and have an absolute wonderful experience. I hope you do. All I know is what went wrong for me.

Sandy the ”Breakfast Ambassador” was extremely rude. She talked to another employee in the main lobby dining area about guests and employees making guests uncomfortable. She complained that staff on 2nd/3rd shift weren't stocking items, moving tables, etc. very loudly. She also complained to all the guests that my autistic son (4 years old) spilled his cereal onto the carpet and that it was a result of bad parenting. Needless to say, I was very upset at the comments. I had even offered to clean up the mess. There had been a birthday party the night before which she complained about loudly, even though those guests, I walked through the lobby during their event, were extremely polite and not loud at all. She ruined what otherwise was a good experience and will prevent me from recommending or returning to this motel. I reported to the desk staff at checkout and they were very nice. I feel bad for them because this employee is ruining repeat business and I hate to see the bad reviews due to a rude person. I understand service industry jobs are demanding and guests/other employees can be hard to deal with, but there are break rooms. Talking about people in front of guests is extremely unprofessional and unnecessary.
