TTara BWe paid $503.70 for the hotel and there was NO access to the pool, hot-tub, gym, sauna, or restaurant. They were “closed for the weekend” starting Thursday. The only thing open, beside the conference which we attended, was the bar – and neither of us drink! One of the four elevators was broken before we got there on Thursday; I learned from other reviews that there was elevator issues the prior weekend, where three of four elevators were down. There were only a few parking spots up front, either handicapped (fortunately I am) or reserved for registration or a beauty salon. A large section of the parking garage was blocked off, due to a car fire that happened days before our arrival. That section remained closed through the entire weekend. In fact, the parking garage was full to capacity for most of the weekend. Other guests had to park at another garage, or even Stop & Shop garage a few blocks away. We checked in Thursday, and learned that there is an additional $100 hold for the first night and additional $50 hold for the other nights on our credit card “for incidentals”. Even though the hotel knew MONTHS in advance that the hotel was full, they had ONE person at the front desk Thursday evening when many were trying to check-in. The line was outside the front door several times. I also noted that for such a huge lobby/atrium, there was only ONE garbage can, and ZERO recycle bins. There were no garbage bins available in the panel/conference rooms either, let alone recycle bins. In fact, there were no recycle bins in the rooms either. We hung up our towels and washcloths on Thursday night to reuse them (and save water usage). Friday, housekeeping took the towels, and we had to go to the front desk for replacements. They did not have washcloths at the front desk, and we were told that they would bring them up to the room within an hour – but we had to be there. So, we waited TWO hours – missing panels and events at the conference, and ended up having to go back to the front desk for the washcloths. Friday evening, three of the four elevators were down, and the final elevator was “acting up.” Since I was in a wheelchair, I had to leave a conference panel and head back to my room. Upon arriving at my room, I found that I was locked out, even though we had the room until Sunday. There was a long line at the front desk because most – if not all – of the people that checked into the hotel on Thursday were similarly locked out of their rooms too. The hotel took our key cards and gave us metal keys to the room, warning us that it would cost us $100 each if we lose them. Even if the amenities were open, we would THUS have no access to them. I also learned that I had no access from the parking garage into the hotel without a key card. I will admit that the hotel was quick to get the elevators repaired, and that three of four were running by the next morning.
