Premier Inn Clacton-On-Sea (Seafront)

We were welcomed by the fabulous Ashely who was able to give us a top floor sea view room. The location is perfect just opposite the pier, beach and gardens, close to the town centre and restaurants and cafes. It was wonderful to lie in bed and over look the sea. The room was the usual standard and size you'd expect from a Premier Inn. Comfy bed, big tv, kettle, bath and shower and free toiletries. The bath ran quickly with plenty of hot water. The bedroom and bathroom were clean on the surface, but I think the bathroom could do with a deep clean to freshen up the grouting/mastic and under the bath handles, as is often the case in chain hotels with a quick turnaround Tea and coffee is provided with more in the lobby to top up during your stay. The breakfast was great on both mornings with plenty of hot and cold items to choose from. All the staff were really friendly and efficient. Parking was just £3 for 24 hours and you could come and go as much as you wanted. We would definitely stay again for a short break and the price was so much cheaper than other south coast Premier Inns. The only negative I have is that the windows don't open, as is often the case in Premier Inns. High praise to Ashely and the chef.

Location was great as it was near beach and pier. Room was clean and had all we need. In all I will say excellent service.

I called to confirm that there would be 3 beds in the family room but there were only two. I was too tired to say anything. The room was never cleaned in the time we were there, no clean towels etc. There was no one to at reception to talk to about this. Location was good

Room smelled of damp due to a dirty shower curtain. Windows cover in bird poo! No alternative room available as the hotel was over booked.. Room furniture tired and damaged. No toaster in the breakfast buffet! Very disappoint

This is quite a standard Premier Inn, for sure it had better days but I could not complain about the room itself. What I found really annoying is that windows cannot be opened, not even a bit, 100% closed in. I mean, you are 100 meters away from the sea and yet cannot have some fresh air. I asked the staff if they had any room with a window to be opened and said no. Breakfast was OK. Staff was kind.

Great views from a very comfortable room, the bed was extremely comfortable and i slept well.The room was exceptionally clean the only negatives was the decor was a little tired material peeling off the headboard and a stain on the carpet.

Excellent hotel and location to the seafront which was opposite the hotel and a great price for the money and we had aircon in the room added bonus

Across the road from the beach, lovely and clean, friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Ashley was fabulous

I stayed in Premier Inn over May Day Bank Holiday as a birthday gift.. I was very happy with the service, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the beds were very comfortable, my room was very welcoming and clean and there was parking available although it was very busy.. We also used the WiFi which I found very useful.. I would most definitely return again
