CBR Boutique Hotel - Coimbra

It’s special but in an extremely good way. We booked this hotel in order to have a once in a lifetime experience sleeping in a Hästens bed. The hotel is located right in the middle of Coimbra, hence the access is through the pedestrian zone which you can access by car for unloading your luggage. Parking can be done across the bridge at the parking lot of the stadium. The entrance is located next to the playful sardine shop which you can find throughout the major cities in Portugal. It looks a bit hidden as the reception doesn’t look like a reception, tho and you might miss it. The whole building is decorated and designed in full detail and high quality. So are the rooms. The moment you walk in there is this wow-factor. And you need to look twice to recognize the shower. Roof top has an incredible great view of the river. Breakfast is great and we enjoyed it very much, so it is limited and served with an etagere but we liked it. Staff is always friendly and happy to help. Shout out to Lara from reception. She’s doing an incredible great job, has great recommendations for lunch and dinner and it was always a pleasure to talk with her. As far the Hästens bed: hand’t had the best sleep as indicated in the promo video but also not the worst. It was good sleep, tho.

This hotel is the epitome of what a boutique hotel should be...from the minute you step through the door, you feel like you are the only person that matters. The property is perfectly placed for exploring Coimbra and the hotel itself is of the highest quality in everything, from the beds, the decor, the workmanship, the rooftop with complimentary food and beverages all day, ( but especially the high tea which is a dream!)....staying here was a highlight of our trip! and was made so much better by the incredible, friendly and informative staff in every department, but especially in reception.

This is a superb hotel right in the centre of Coimbra, on the pedestrian mall, a short walk from the train station. The beds live up to their reputation, the room was wonderful, luxury shower and bathroom. The breakfast and afternoon tea were exceptional, served in a beautiful dining room near the top of the building. Even better than the room and meals are the staff. They were unfailingly polite, helpful, friendly and available. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. When a piece of my property was left behind, the staff went to extraordinary lengths to return it to me quickly. When that failed (Portuguese postal system !#!) it was mailed to my home in Australia. All the time, the staff kept in contact with me via email to let me know the progress. Also, the staff were extremely helpful and courteous when offering suggestions for restaurants and other activities. There is a lovely rooftop area for drinks, unfortunately closed during our stay due to poor weather. I would love to return to this hotel.

I expected the best bed in the world but I found a good bed but as good as a 4 stars hotel bed in general. There is nothing so special. I would not come back. Hastens is overrated. the breakfast was very good though.

Ottima posizione, personale molto gentile ed accogliente Buona colazione in una sala carina con vista, servita su alzatine con bevande calde e fredde sempre servite dal personale Pessima la privacy del bagno… Set di cortesia di ottima qualità ma un pochino misero visto la categoria dell hotel Parcheggio a pagamento nelle vicinanze

Limpo, agradável, prometem um sono nas nuvens por causa de um colchão XPTO que no meu caso não aconteceu. O pequeno almoço não vale nada. Façam reservas sem pequeno almoço e vão à pastelaria. Servem umas cestas com coisas que se não gostarmos ficamos sem comer.

Funcionários muito simpáticos, excelente localização na zona histórica da cidade, com uma decoração espectacular. Tanto os quartos como espaços comuns são muito agradáveis. Vista para rio Mondego magnífica. Pequeno almoço muito bom

Bem no coração de Coimbra, o Hästens Sleep SPA – CBR Boutique Hotel é a opção perfeita para quem procura uma experiência diferente. Um verdadeiro spa do sono, onde cada pormenor é pensado para proporcionar um descanso profundo. A decoração é inspirada na Biblioteca Joanina e cada espaço tem o seu encanto. Todo o staff é extremamente atencioso e a vista do terraço é encantadora! Recomendo totalmente.
