The Wayfaring Buckeye Hostel

房間有點擠，不過總體比較經濟，衞生間是共用的，夜裡睡覺會受影響，地板不會每天打掃，頭髮比較多。早餐是自助，可以自己做，算比較自由。價格比較合理，算是短期旅行的不錯選擇！

(Super Late Post) I'd never been to a hostel before going to the Wayfairing Buckey Hostel. I wasn't sure what to expect but I needed a place to stay for 4 days. Don't get me wrong, there is a possibility that you could have some interesting folks staying there as people are people. I stayed in the room that had a bunk... and another set of rooms off that room. I didn't like that those people had to come through my room to get to their room (which was an attic type bungalow). But I guess that is Hostel Life for the lack of better terms. The people that were there when I was there were really cool and we got to hang out in Columbus. We cooked meals and watched Netflix together (not your typical "Netflix and Chill" but certainly a humble good time). I actually made a friend from New Zealand that I plan to visit in the future! Overall, the stay was comfortable. Bring your hygiene products (soap, shampoo), your own towels, DISINFECTANT spray (can never be too clean and disinfected in the bathroom), food etc. Like living in a college dorm room.

I have stayed at hostels before, so I was expecting multiple beds in one room. This hostel has a private room, as well as groupings of three and five. I selected the grouping of five for the very low rate of $34, three miles from the Hyatt convention center. I was pleasantly surprised that there were two beds in my room, there was a keypad lock on the door, and that my roommate was also a woman. Later I realized the other three beds were upstairs, and my room the corridor. I did commit to a five bed room, so I really wasn’t flustered. The bedding smelled fresh, like it had been laundered with bleach, and the three bathrooms were very clean. I like hostels b/c it is a chance to meet people around the globe. My roommate was Brazilian, I made breakfast alongside a man from India, and at breakfast exchanged thoughts about travel and public transportation in Europe vs the U.S. with a young man from Austria. This particular hostel offers bicycles to get around the city. It was a cheap, affordable place to stay, but staying requires a flexible mindset. You don’t get the bathroom to yourself & sometimes there is a line, the bedroom door does open & close as people move through the room. There is a level of trust to sleep with strangers. I gave it three stars as “ average” b/c it is much like hostels I have experienced in the past.

This place is amazing i spent 1 nite via travelocity then booked another stay via the buckeye hostel website and saved even more money ! This place is so comfortable and they provide breakfast to! Highly recommend this place

The house and the private room I stayed in was clean and tidy. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed, desk and chair, closet with hangers, and plenty of shelving space and outlets. The TV with Netflix/Amazon Prime was a nice touch. Communication was clear. I didn't interact with management but I didn't need to. A tiny ding to the shared bathroom having water specks on the mirror and to water on the counter from other patrons. A role of paper towels so people could wipe up would have been helpful. (There were hand towels that I'm guessing no one wanted to use to wipe up the counter, since the towels were there for people to use to dry hands.) There was a box of disinfectant wipes--nice touch for anyone who might want to wipe off the toilet seat before using. So adding a roll of paper towels to the bathroom would be easy/helpful. Overall, though, great stay, and I'd stay again.

Not a safe area of town. My daughter and I wanted to use a hostel because no dorms available in the summer while we had to come to Columbus multiple times. The reviews and pictures make this location look clean and quaint. We were too afraid of the area to get out of our car. It seems close to campus but if you are not familiar with Columbus just one block makes a big difference. Just know what surrounding area is like before you book. I made the mistake of using a third party vendor non-refundable pay. The owner said in his message by text he would approve cancellation and refund money but ******* indicated he refused. Lesson learned. If you are a male or with a group it would probably be fine. We felt like it was misrepresented on the profile footprints, such as TripAdvisor and *******. I get charging for one night but to not refund the second night when he could have had another booking is just unkind.

As this is a Hostel the cleanliness is 90% dependent on guests cleaning up after themselves. If you have guest that take carenof their messes and their dishes then cleanliness is not an issue.

Great stay, love the private room. Will be using this place for a while!
