We believed ALoft was more of an upscale hotel. It's trendy looking...hip looking. But as for a comfortable stay, no way.
The rooms, I'm sure they believe have a great layout. But its really just one room with non-ceiling-height dividers....thats right, for the bathroom too (a little...um too umprivate). Beyond that, it was all concrete floors with area rugs, which made the hvac seem very noisy. -And though there's a hip little seat in the room, we felt it lacked comfortable furniture.
Housecleaning is by-request. So if you forget, that means no TP refill (none extra are in the bath "room," -you get ONE), and no extra towels (you get two bath and two wash cloths). Im sure this is marketed as for your privacy...but its really just cost savings for them.
The bath "room" was also about 80% clean. The shower was clogged. I fixed it...you're welcome ALoft.
So....the room was NOT as we hoped.
Now, one BIG plus was the adjoining steakhouse Cut 132 (which isn't even ALoft's property, I believe). The food is great, the artsian coctails are AMAZING, and the bartender Cameron was a delight to chat with, truly the only 5star of the stay.
