Maspalomas Princess

Well worth a visit for a family holiday, we are a family of four with 2 boys, 6 and 3. The hotel and resort was ideal for the kids. We had to however seek a room upgrade as the garden suite that we had originally booked, offers no room for manavour within the room. The food on offer became tedious after day 4, and we ended up eating out on a couple of occasions. Overall a 4 star hotel centered around families.

We spent a week in this beautiful hotel and didn’t want to come home. The whole hotel, grounds and rooms are immaculately clean. We stayed within the Maspalomas side and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel was fully booked yet there was more than plenty of sun beds available, the main food area was busy but tablets are spaced apart so you don’t feel as though you’re rushed or on top of the people around you. The food itself was lovely. There was three themed nights during our visit plus the option of visiting the Asian and Italian restaurants. Even the fussiest of eaters could enjoy their food here with pizza, pasta, plain chicken, pork, fish, lamb, chips, wedges, vegetables, salad and many desserts or fruit available every day. Burgers, sandwiches, pizza, pasta and hotdogs also available on a lunchtime in the main family snack bar. We read lots of bad reviews about the drinks from the machines but they really weren’t bad at all. The bar staff throughout the hotel not just at the pool bars, were also more than happy to make them fresh for you if you asked. Very generous with measures too! We did standard AI and didn’t see any need to upgrade to AI+ as the only thing that would have been of any benefit to us was the waffles and crepes. These were charged at €3.50 and large enough for us to share so are a great price. Our favourite part about the hotel was the Balinese beds. These are available to hire for the day from the cake snack bar for €20. If you can - definitely do it at least once! They are extremely comfortable, have curtains on 3 sides for privacy or shade and are very spacious. We seen families of 4 sharing with ease. The pool was always clean and never felt over crowded despite the hotel being full. Lots of reviews have complained there’s no kettle available in the room but refreshments are available in the hotel 24hrs a day. Between 11pm-midnight alcoholic drinks are chargeable but hot drinks are available from the bar or in the lobby after midnight. There was palso sandwiches and fresh fruit every night. The only negative for us was the evening entertainment within the maspalomas side of the hotel. Many of the shows weee the animation team miming to songs or clips from films. We venture out of the hotel on an evening which we enjoyed so it wasn’t a problem as such, but could be improved. The circus act and African footprint act were both live and we enjoyed those. We stayed on the ground floor and our room was spacious with a balcony and walk in shower. I’ve seen reviews that the beds weren’t changed daily - if you want this there is a green card in the room that you place on the bed for the maids. This info was given to us when we checked in. We also didn’t find the hotel noisy. You can hear some less thoughtful people slam doors but you can in any hotel and really depends on who you have next to you. We went to The Maspalomas Princess on a Family holiday in late May. The weather was ideal mid 20C and sunny days enabled us to enjoy the Great Pools suitable for all ages. Everyone enjoyed all the Restaurants with excellent food with wide variety of choice. All staff were friendly and helpful. Our 3 generation family all had a great time. The children particularly enjoyed the mini disco’s and evening shows. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic week we spent at this hotel. The staff were lovely and polite and so accommodating. The pool was a massive hit with my son who never wanted to get out of it. A little chilly in the morning but soon got warmer. Huge praise to the Animation team for keeping us all entertained with the pool side entertainment and the various discos and music nights. The array of drink, food and different themed nights in the restaurant was exceptional plus the daytime food in the shacks kept everyone with full bellies. We were all so sad to be leaving the hotel and will def be booking again when we want time to just relax and unwind and spend quality family time together.

We had a lovely holiday at this resort, the food was nice (breakfast taking the win), the snack bars were good and served a range of stuff such as burgers and hot dogs plus other hot meat items in another snack bar. The adults only pool and the overall resort is very pretty! If you want service, expect the least here sadly. We have stayed at both luxurious resorts and 3 star resorts and this is our honest opinion from two female best friends who are 29&34 and love party nights and chill nights. We both work in hospitality and feel we may notice things more than overs but we are very fair and open to our experiences but this missed the mark in a few areas but here’s our breakdown of the hotel: Rooms: we were placed on the maspolomas side and our room had a pool view balcony which was lovely. We unfortunately had a young family next door and their baby cried every morning between 2-3am and it wouldn’t stop for ages and was so loud, we didn’t complain as what could they do plus we felt for the family whilst it drove us mad. There were no coffee/tea making facilities and only one bottle of water was provided for the whole week which didn’t give me that “all inclusive feel”. We later found out that the Tabaiba hotel was more for adults so we were confused why we were placed this side, maybe I missed something on the booking. We sent an email before to inform them it was my birthday but nothing was done for it which was fine but we was also placed on the family side which is gutting, they didn’t try to do anything, atleast give us a room near adults. That was fine though, we are over it but most hotels would do something small. The bed was comfy but you only have a thin pillow to sleep on and the aircon barely works which was a struggle. Pools: the pools were clean, big and really enjoyable with lots of sections to swim in. It was just very cold, which stopped you from getting in as much. Beware of the hot “sand” on sunny days, it is made up of miniature pebbles that are scorching hot, they need to change for safety! There isn't any service around the pools and the bars only serve you properly if you have a gold band and they make that very clear any chance they get. You can get house drinks from bar but you feel like you are not supposed to be asking for them. Cocktails in the machine are a heartburn attacker, I can drink most things but they really weren’t nice. We see lots of reviews about how bad they were but I really thought it wouldn’t bother me but it did. I saw online that if you asked for a cocktail made by the staff, they would make it but we didn’t get the same service, only once from Alejandro. I do want to call out Alejandro who was at the adults only bar looking after us and providing us with amazing service and even bringing some drinks to our bed. You made up for all of the staff! It was a lovely place and holiday we had . Very clean and staff was very friendly. Our most interaction was with the life guards that were really good with the kids . And mady from photo hotel who was just a diamond to us all . Entertainment was good every night . Mini disco was a bit lame . Rooms . Was a bit disappointing some mornings our beds were just made up with the same sheets that had obvious marks on . Was very surprised that there was no kettle or hot drink facilities in the room but what made it worse is that u couldn't even sit in reception or anywhere to have a hot drink ! The superior family really wasn't big enough for 4 people , beds was very uncomfortable and couldn't work out why anyone would only want 1 long pillow 😒. Also shame there wasn't also an area were kids could have a play in a park or ball games .

We had a lovely stay at the Tabaiba Princess side of this hotel. I have heard a couple of people complaining about the rooms on the other side, so not sure how they are different. Our room was cleaned each day, as were the communal areas, which must be a massive job as the hotel is quite large. The food was nice, could do with slightly more vegetarian options that haven't had meat or fish put in with the vegetables, as there are plenty of choices for meat and fish eaters. We enjoyed going to the Italian restaurant in a morning for our breakfast, as it was much quieter but still plenty of food to choose, including greek yoghurt that I had each morning with fresh fruit, walnuts and seeds. Great area to stay and the beach at Maspalomas is an outstanding beautiful beach with plenty of room. All the staff were really friendly and we would definitely stay here again.

The staff at the hotel were all brilliant and very helpful. Special mention to David the chef, and Nayra, Fatima and Ito the restaurant maitres who were very helpful in sorting my wife's food allergies to gluten and dairy. There were plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied and quieter areas for the adults. Hotel was clean and tidy.

The hotel is beautiful! Staff are very friendly, rooms and hotel are always clean/cleaned. Lovely room to stay in with everything you need and the resort itself great for kids. A great variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Will definitely be coming back again. Thanks for a great time.
