Resort Cordial Santa Agueda & Perchel Beach Club

We stayed here with my 3 young children in November . We booked with easy jet flights and the accommodation via *********** & had a great price . We are from the UK and this hotel is very diverse and has people staying from throughout Europe. * We hired a car with Top car for a week which I feel is essential if you want to see the area . Location wise the hotel is in a little village 10/15 minute drive from the main resorts of Puerto Rico and Playa del Inglés . * We stayed in a standard 2 bed apartment which is great , has everything you need including washing machine and dryer . We didn’t get a nice view , however the upgrades were expensive & we were more than happy with our apartment. We requested an iron & reception happily brought it over. * Pools - you had the hotel pool , which is very small & lifeguard informed us that it is a peaceful pool , hint hint … crazy kids not allowed :) The beach club which is attached is free during the week so we spent our time there & this place is honestly beautiful. The pool is huge & perfect for both adults & children . The pool area is spotless and lots of sunbeds available . If you like to eat fish then you’ll be in heaven . If you don’t like fish , then the menu is poor . However we would go back to the apartment in the afternoon to have a baguette or stay in the beach club and have a Caesar salad . Our children loved the chips and chicken nuggets . The atmosphere of the beach club is perfect , music playing quietly in the background all day . Children under 12 don’t get their own lounger , however this wasn’t an issue for us as they spent most of their time in the pool . Unfortunately no playing ball or inflatables are allowed in the pool . If it’s quiet then nothing gets said if the children are on loungers . On weekends you have to pay 50% of the entry fee to get in. This was not an issue for us as we decided to go to Amadores Beach . On the Sunday the weather was overcast which meant the beach club did not charge to go in . Also I would like to add that the beach club pool Is perfect for families with little children as the pool starts with shallow waters they can play in . Additionally , they have a lovely splash park and pool for little ones . * Hotel Spa is in the Beach Club and I had a lovely treatment with a lovely lady . They’ve got a small pool, sauna and steam room all which are at a very high standard . We stayed Self Catering and this was perfect for us . The on-site spar shop has lots to offer and we got pancake ingredients and our kids either had pancakes or a fresh baguette/Crossiant for breakfast . The spar shop is great and stocks everything you need and is also a dessert parlour serving fresh ice creams , crepes and waffles . * All staff were very helpful and kind and all seemed to speak brilliant English . Surrounding areas - Mogán Mall - lots of shop and restaurants including a McDonald’s . El treblor - another nice outdoor shopping stop with Zara , Pull and Be

I have thought carefully about writing a review for this resort and decided after spending 10 days of 14 to go ahead. Firstly, the Good; The resort is lovely, well kept, beautiful gardens and the apartment is fresh and new looking, the beds are very comfortable and the air-conditioning is ideal. The housekeeping is excellent and all staff are friendly and polite. The Bad; Whilst the apartment is lovely, it could do with some more interior decoration, it seems very bare to me. The pots and pans provided are quite small and I would think that if a family of more than 2 people would struggle to cook anything like pasta or rice for any more people. A mixing bowl would also be a useful addition. Whilst the gardens are beautiful and well maintained, there are no benches or seating of any kind to just sit and take in the beauty. The " beach" on the resort is just rocks and if you have any problems with balance ( even if you don't, I've seen surfers topple going into the water ) you will struggle to get into the water as the descent to it is steep enough. We opted to have breakfast included but the choice is certainly more geared towards a German diet, the hot food is not hot , barely warm and was cold by the time I got to the table. The menus in each of the restaurants is very limited unless you are big into sushi. The internet connection was terrible in our apartment, 3 smart Tvs and one couldn't watch Netflix or other streaming service on any of them, I ended up watching on my phone. The Ugly; on our first night here, I was almost asleep, it was 10pm , a man appeared at my bedroom door , he was wearing a dark green t-shirt with the resort logo on it, I blurted out " what are you doing here?" He said sorry , that he didn't know that there was anyone in the apartment. He went on to say that he was there to fix the handle on the front door, he then proceeded to do just that!!! Given that there were food items on the counter top and some lights were on, one wonders why he thought the place was empty and why on earth would he go to the bedroom when he was there to fix the front door! Naturally I spoke to reception the next morning and Diego was surprised at what happened, apologised and resolved to find out why it happened. He later told me that the maintenance guy was given an incorrect list of which apartments were occupied. The next day I received a complementary fruit platter. I really don't think that they appreciate how terrifying it is for a woman (52) and her young adult daughter (21) to experience this sort of intrusion and the thought that it could happen again has made my nights rest more difficult to get. I'm an end stage kidney failure person, on dialysis every second day, and it took 5 months to arrange this holiday because of that. After spending 4k for 2 people for 2 weeks, one would have expected better. Would I stay here again.... that's a hard No from me.

The facilities, staff and apartments are fantastic. Everything seems new and well looked after. The roof top infinity pool is nice for the weekends if you don't go to the beach club. Spar shop has a lovely ice cream parlour, good selection of food. If its a bit pricey, the shops are a short walk away. Beach club is gorgeous with perfect cocktails, infinity pool and plenty of sun loungers. It feels very luxurious with a great view. We havnt eaten there much. but food all looked lovely. Recommend going to arguineguin Market on Tuesdays. Its nice with handmade glass trinkets being made, caricatures, clothes, bags etc. Had a recommendation to go to a local non touristy restaurant El boya in santa aguedo 3 min walk away, so will try that on Friday. Had meals in restaurants by the harbour 10 min walk, all very good. Not a great deal of nightlife for teens, we liked the laid back, local vibe but our teenagers wanted a bit more of a party atmosphere. If that's what you want, this is not the place for you. No 'entertainment' if that's what you like. When we arrived at 10.30 we were hungry and thirsty, there was no where to go. The receptionist tried her best to help but had limited ideas of what we could do. We went to the beachclub who were closing and begged them for a few drinks to take away and a few biscuits for our 6 year old and they did help but it felt quite stressful. My advice if you are arriving late is to get some drinks etc from the airport as there is no where to go that late nearby till the shop opens at 7 a.m. breakfast- great. Definitely recommend. Fresh Omelette, pancakes, fruit, everything you would think of. Apartments- clean, and spacious, well thought out and comfy beds. Could do with more wardrobe space, big door across the kitchen area, just got in the way, nog sure how to work the microwave/oven or aircon but muddled through, but everything else is perfect. Washing machine and tumble dryer, very handy. Next to very big cement works but you can't see if from apartments or in beach club so not an issue. All in all a very, very nice place to stay.

This was a fab holiday for us - me, husband and 3 year old son. The apartment - really spacious and comfortable but it wasn’t ideal that the 2 bedrooms were on different floors with a 3 year old. No oven and only one of our induction pans worked, but otherwise well equipped eg 2 bathrooms, 3 TVs with Netflix, etc. House-keeping service was good and staff were friendly. The complex - beautiful, peaceful, relaxing. The hotel pool was lovely - little pool for kids was a hit, and it was a lovely space for sunbathing. Breakfast was fantastic - lots of options and great service. Shop and ice cream parlour on site was really handy. Lovely little playground at front of the property. Beach club - was awesome, great pool for little kids and then the infinity pool is great for adults. Was just a tad too cold for me ;) The splash park and playground were really nice for kids too. We had food here one evening - delicious but expensive. Location - unfortunately there were not many suitable eating options for us around the complex. The beach club options weren’t ideal for kids and closed at 7. The hotel restaurant was uninspiring and not particularly child-friendly. This meant we had to go into the town for restaurants and this was a minimum 15-20 minute walk, which isn’t ideal with a toddler at the end of a long day! The first part of the walk - purpose built for the complex - is nice along a pedestrianised boulevard, with banana plantation and chickens roaming behind a fence. Area - there are many prettier towns than this in GC… this had more of a working feel to it (and views of a cement factory!) but on the plus side it was less touristy and busy than, say, Mogan. It had a decent choice of restaurants and some nice views at some of them. The further round you go the nicer the beaches get, but again, it was just a bit too long a walk for us at times with our 3 year old. We hired a car and it was only 10 minutes to Maspalomas and 15 minutes to Mogan. You could also get a ferry from the port (20 mins walk from the complex) to various places. We hopped across to Anfi which was only 10 minutes on the ferry and was a lovely place. Overall - it was a great holiday and a great self-catering option. It was full of families and staff were all really friendly and helpful. The only real downside was the distance to the main town and beaches from the complex and lack of suitable eating options around the complex.

Wonderfully clean with polite and attentive staff throughout. We stayed in a deluxe 2 story villa which was immaculate and very modern. Being picky an oven could be handy just so we could cook basic meals after a few vinos like a pizza. Rooftop pool lovely beach club beautiful - lovely views with the infinity pool. Breakfast - plentiful and smiley staff every morning . Worth recommending Anfi Beach for a day out bars / restaurants and lovely beach .

Love this place…i think the best beach club in gran canaria at the moment..the food is unbelievable…wish could be here every weekends..the toilets are also very cleen which is something unusual..staff are frendy and the cocktails are yummiiiii…

The apartments were very spacious, we had 2 rooms which came with 2 shower rooms, 3 tvs (with Netflix and Prime), washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, large fridge freezer and cooking facilities (apart from an oven), we stayed on the second floor opposite the sunbathing/ infinity pool area which proved useful. The spa at the resort has mostly everything needed, including lovely icecreams and milkshakes. Disappointingly we discovered that you have to pay during the weekends at Perchel Beach club (even 50% off meant a minimum of €60 for 4 people) and we also were there during a Spanish bank holiday so during our stay we were unable to go for 5 days. This meant that the small sunbathing area was full, as no one wanted to pay and the beach club was empty 🤷‍♀️ luckily we had 4 sunloungers in the sun on our terrace. The Beach Club food wise is only good enough if you mainly like fish, the pool area and sunbeds/view are amazing (apart from a factory in the beach). Back at the apartments there is only one restaurant which was a steak house, no bar and if you want breakfast it’s €15 each 😱. We walked into the small town which is about 10 mins away and found 4 nice eating place overlooking the sea. The other nights we got a taxi for Puerto Rico €20 each way. We also went on the catamaran one day which was €60 each and included lunch and drinks )chicken, roll, salad, beer, sangria and soft drinks) there was a free banana boat, snorkelling and €30 extra for 15 mins on a jet ski, it was good but not if you have sea sickness. Staff all been very friendly at the resort. Overall it’s been a lovely relaxing break, we have older kids but I would say for the days cannot get in the beach club it would be boring for those with younger kids.

A superb setting, yes, but best of all fantastic service. The staff here are wonderful and really work hard to ensure a personal experience. This never stopped throughout our stay. In particular, BIG thanks to chef Chaxiraxi who runs an excellent kitchen. Attention to allergies and personal service is the best we've encountered, EVER, (despite stays frequenting brands like Conrad/ Jumeirah/ Hilton ) and Chaxi makes it all look easy where other hotels fail. Also very pleased with the Spa, divine treatments and very good therapists. Heavenly. Even the gardening team are always discretely hard at work keeping everywhere pristine. We hope to return soon!

We have already visited the resort four times and every year we look forward to it more and more! We always spend almost a month here, the entire Christmas and New Year holidays. We stay in a holiday house on the ocean front, which is really luxurious and beautiful. The resort is located in a wonderful location a few steps from the ocean and offers everything you need for relaxation and a perfect vacation. From great services, restaurants, shopping to beach club and spa. The staff is always kind and very helpful, we are happy to contact them with anything, if we need advice on food delivery or ordering a taxi, for example, they will always help us. We can enthusiastically recommend a stay at the resort!
