Camping Moulin de La Geneste

Definitely a must if you are in this area!! Excellent sanitary block.. very clean!! Well laid out.. and most importantly HOT showers !!!! Very peaceful location near to historic sites .. great location for seeing the area Very friendly owners .. helpful and informative

We’ve been visiting since 2013 and every trip we make to France includes a stay here. The owners are super friendly and helpful. They have updated the site, the reception, added more woodland, built new toilet blocks and added some unique glamping accommodation but the site doesn’t feel any busier and we’ve always had a tranquil experience! We’ve camped and stayed in the Gites and enjoyed both. It’s a magical place, probably the best camp site I’ve stayed at, and we’ll certainly be returning.

We don’t normally give reviews for this site. It is a gem we have been coming to for 10 years and we are worried it will become so popular that we won’t be able to book. However, this year it did not seem as busy as normal so we might be ok telling others. Quite simply, this is the best campsite in the world. We have camped all over Europe, US, Canada and Africa and this remains easily the best place we have ever stayed. The owners are fantastic. They are genuinely lovely people who can’t do enough for you. The site is huge. Pitches are really generous and private and great value. There are lots of places to walk and sit. The nighttime stars are phenomenal. Our children particularly enjoy the lake and feeding the pigs. The local area is lovely. Stopped in history and culture as well as beautiful swimming lakes, one, at Massaret with a great restaurant. We love Uzerche . The Thursday at the brewery, the Friday at the paper mill and any day on the river. Go. You will not be disappointed.

As usual Steve and Sharron were very helpful. The campsite was well prepared. Bell Tent great to stay in making camping a breeze. The site is perfect for families, couples and those who want to relax

This was our first stop on our family camping holiday in France and it was our favourite place by far! Pitches are spacious and there's plenty of room for the kids to roam. Ours loved running off by themselves to visit the animals or just run about in the woods. They also loved paddling in the stream and using the free kayaks on their little lake. It was so relaxing that we didn't bother to leave the campsite - though there's plenty to see in the area too.

Not much to add on other reviews but quiet, relaxing, kind and helpful hosts. The woods are extensive alongside the animals, river and lake. We had one day just exploring the campsite and enjoying the swings, zip line and boats. Bread delivered daily, can hire a pizza oven and curry night was fun. Loved it. Strong recommend.

We have just left after a fantastic stay at camping Moulin de la Geneste, we were booked for 5 nights but it was so great that we stayed for a week! Lovely friendly owners, always happy to help. Kids enjoyed feeding the animals and playing in the woods. Lake and boats to use as well as a river great for paddling. Eveything was easy and relaxed. We loved the curry night! Beautiful area, great swimming lakes nearby. Our new favourite campsite, we will definitely be back!

After arriving at the site last week June 17th for 4 day's site seemed very quiet no vans about .Only to be greeted by a gentleman that told us the site had only just opened. After meeting the owners who couldn't do enough for us and making our stay very welcoming we will definitely return. Big site lovely big pitches. Uzerche is a must to visit very handy for shopping. Zooooo wat een heerlijke plek was dit! Een waanzinnige groene omgeving, en wat een ruimte. We waren nu met z’n tweetjes, maar dit is werkelijk een paradijs voor gezinnen met kinderen die ervan houden om lekker in de natuur te zijn. Heel veel bos, een meer, een waterval, rivier, bruggetjes. Je kunt hier lekker uitrusten met veel privacy. Ruimte voor een tent, een caravan, een camper of je kunt 1 van de accommodaties huren. Wij verbleven in een chalet. Schoon en van al onze gemakken voorzien. Op tien minuten auto afstand ligt het prachtige plaatsje Uzerche, hier vind je bijvoorbeeld een heerlijke bakker. Een aantal restaurants en ook is er een supermarkt. Vergeet vooral niet rond te lopen in dit mooie stadje en te genieten van de omgeving, denk hierbij ook aan de kerk Saint Pierre, met vanaf daar een bijzonder fraai uitzicht. Wij zijn met het vliegtuig gegaan, geland op Bergerac, dit ligt op 1,5 uur rijden van deze prachtige plek. Zeker een plek om terug te komen.
