Ikhaya Safari Lodge

We were so lucky to spend two wonderful nights at the Ikhaya Safari Lodge in Constantia, Capetown. The House, the Gardens and the whole property are amazing. Make sure to have breakfast there - it was one of, or maybe the best breakfast I ever had worldwide. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic time there

We stayst at the Ikahya Safari Lodge as a group with kids. Käthe and her Team did a fantastic job and were so welcoming. The guesthouse is a lovely place with wonderful views and morning sun. We are so happy we could stay with you and the brai was a dream! We ll have wonderful memories forever! Thanks for eveything!

The Ikhaya Safari Lodge offers a truly amazing experience Cape Town. It’s tucked away in the scenic Constantia area providing a sense of seclusion and privacy. Kathe, the kind attentive host, ensures guests feel welcomed from the day they arrive till they day the depart. The lodge's vibrant yet classy lodge decor adds to the feeling of being on safari. The hospitality extended by the staff makes guests feel right at home, and we eagerly anticipate returning next year.

First and foremost I have to give kudos to the Manageress Kathe who was an absolute delight to email with while making our reservation and then who was such a gracious and kind hostess. The Lodge itself is beautiful with a great view down the valley overlooking Cape Town. The Springbok room was charming with exposed beams, and windows that overlooked the valley and the drive into the property. While power outages due to load-shedding are a problem, Ikahaya has made provisions to minimize the impact of those outages. Then there was the incredible breakfast which Winnie (sp?) and her team prepared every day. Fantastic! The icing on the cake was our last day. Our plans to visit Table Mountain the day before were foiled by the wind. So we changed our tickets for the morning of our departure. When Kathe found out about that, she told us to not only leave our luggage at the lodge, but that she would make an unoccupied room available for us to shower and change before heading out to the airport for a long night's travel. In short, it was a wonderful few days, wish it was longer, but will be back soon!

Hotel is very beautiful. The view is amazing. Breakfast is excellent. My kids were playing tennis. Service is perfect. The bed was very comfortable. I had many pillows. We had a fun time. Love it. And thank you.

Wonderful little corner of paradise just a short drive from Cape Town. We received a great welcome from Winnie and Käthe. We were staying in the “Pumba Room” which, although a little on the small size, had everything we needed. Water and milk were left in the fridge for us. The terrace outside the room was shared with the next door room and while in dry weather there was plenty of space and seating options to share the area, on the day it rained there wasn’t anywhere to sit as the only dry place was occupied by the couple in the next room. Breakfast was superb - juice, croissants, yoghurt and fruit plus a cooked course, with a variety of different table options for guests staying so each felt they had their own private dining space. Kathe gave us some great advice on places to dine in the area and some suggestions for other locations later in our trip - inside knowledge is great.

We really enjoyed the stay at the lodge. Setting is stunning, our room was lovely, clean and spacious, and the hostess super friendly. The major downside: we were too busy to laze around and enjoy the view for longer! Absolutely recommend the lodge.

Great place to stay . Quiet luxury gem in Constantia . Kathe is perfect host . The breakfast is simply delicious. The rooms are spacious and very clean . The lodge is close to great the Winehouses of Constantia . A must stay if you go to Cape Town !

Set in a lush hillside, Ikhaya Safari Lodge was an unforgettable stay. From the time we checked in, the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast on the balcony with the view was so relaxing. Decor is in keeping with its name. It's an easy drive from the airport, close to a lot of restaurants, Wineries n the Royal Botanic Gardens. We would love to come back.
