This hotel is only about 20 or 30 yards from a very busy highway, Skyline Drive, so traffic noise can be very loud even inside your room. All rooms face the highway; there aren't any rooms in the back. The building is on a hill with the back of it right next to a vertical stone wall. That puts the driveway up to the hotel on a steep 45 degree incline adjacent to the highway. You might scrape the underside of your vehicle just getting to the front office. You'll have to enter and exit the hotel driveway in a hurry since there's usually so much traffic at speeds of 40, 50, or more. Unfortunately I had a reservation for three nights and I was expecting a lot better hotel. My room with one queen bed had pests including about ten roaches, mosquitos, and flies, too many even for Arkansas in the summer. I grew up in the South. Roaches are unacceptable in a hotel. I bought a can of flying bug spray at the supermarket which I had to go to anyway. It got rid of almost all the bugs for one night. Pest control is not rocket science and not necessarily expensive, so I don't know why so many hotels have trouble with it. Don't care I suppose. The television and a light fixture did not work. The bed had clean sheets though, and the bathroom was okay, so I stayed one night and checked out with the front desk clerk. Having a swimming pool in front of this hotel is like putting lipstick on a pig. There was a small breakfast included near the front desk, but it wasn't any better than a frozen egg muffin from a microwave. There was some cheap coffee and powdered creamer. RB
