Ocean Eden Bay
• Is not a “5” Star Resort, more like a 3.7 Star and should not be advertised as “5” Stars in my opinion.
• The resort has not been maintained - several areas were dirty. Examples; ketchup packets that were stepped on in hallways left and not cleaned up for several days, dirty dishes and cups left in hallways and by plants and not cleaned up. All outdoor areas needed to be power washed and to be honest we’re very dirty.
• Pool - part of the main pool bar was missing a piece, several tiles missing, with what looked like black mold on the walls where you would sit at the pool bar. The last day we were at the resort the pools were very dirty. The lazy river only had about 15 inner-tubes and people went to the gift shop to buy a “float” for the pool.
• Bar Tenders couldn’t be bothered with guests who were not their friends. It seemed as though they would rather speak or argue with each other rather than help guests or make any tips. The least friendly bartenders we have ever had ever.
• Food was above average and we enjoyed all the meals we had. The Steakhouse and Breakfast buffet were very good.
• Seemed like there needed to be training for all the staff including who leads the teams.
• Overheard many unprofessional conversations in multiple areas of the hotel and it really didn’t make you feel welcome as a guest.
• If you are looking for “5” Star accommodations this is not the resort for you.
